In my research, the Oneplus pad 2 usb-c port is OTG, which means you can connect an external ssd or hdd into it for file transfer? OTG usb ports do connect with external ssds
Tablet in the stone age supposed to be easily held and used in portrait mode and i found this tablet to be perfect example vs other well known tablet brands.
the only problem for me is we can get apple ipad at this price and No usb 3 port 🥲 now i am only confused about xiaomi pad 6, it has everything i need but i dont know how well it performs in drawing specially with second generation of xiaomi pen,
It's more accurate to say they are different rather than which is better. I will recommend Xiaomi simply because of the lower price point, and hence provide more value for money. I like the 7:5 aspect of OnePlus more but price advantage is with Xiaomi

If you can find it at a good price, it's still a really good tablet. OS updates is nice but not having OS updates does not mean your apps will stop running.

The thing that is really important to me is that is there enough friction between the pen and the panel that it feels like drawing on paper like ipad or does the pen slid on the surface?
Apple Pencil has slightly more resistance because of the anti-reflective coating. But otherwise both pen tips will just slide. It's smooth but not to the point of slippery yet.
It could also depend on the protective cover you use. I'm using the matte protection screen (not tempered glass) and it feels very close to writing on paper, down to the sounds.

I wanted to know how does the Xiaomi's combination fare against Oneplus's, as in my region it is quite cheaper than Oneplus combo.
I am using this tablet for a month but performance is pretty horrible and inconsistent, lots of frame drops in UI which makes it feel super cheap and there are many bugs especially regarding dynamic refresh rate(it is very unstable). - I have submitted many bug reports with logs but there is virtually no acknowledgement or support from oneplus!!, there software team is a joke. - oxygen is really bad, the version they used looks like it was ported from phone to tablet, they slapped it with a dock without much thought!. - mediatek chip’s gpu is trash and most apps are designed with snapdragon gpu in mind. - they should have used 8+ gen 1 and stock google 13L (which is designed for tablets) overlaying there features on top.
I have confirmed with OnePlus customer support that they have no plans to supply additional nibs. Strange. With additional nibs, I would buy this in a heartbeat as I loathe the Apple ecosystem and dislike the screen ratio of Samsung tablets.
Third party companies will probably sell replacement nibs in the future. It is incredibly difficult to find original pen nibs from Samsung and Huawei too.
Yes, you are probably right. Nib availability is such a deal breaker for me and the reason I've held true to XP-Pen over the past few years rather than defect to Wacom etc.
I kept begging to Oneplus to make replacement tips available. It just doesn't make sense to purchase an entire new pen for a $3 piece of plastic tip. I'd pay $20 for a 4 pack. Not sure how long it'll take for third party sellers to develop replacements.
Yes… in the end I went for an iPad Air and have ended up using Infinite Painter the most anyway over Procreate, so definitely could have gone down the Android route. Far prefer Android as an OS too over Apple.

Indeed. 128 GB in 2023...No microSD card on this one is an absolute deal breaker. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it had microSD support.

Kudos on using Krita for tests... is one of the best ones for professional workflow and features. Edit : Same goes for Clip Studio.

Its depent on country . Im my country oneplus is half price of iPad - so i can accept some cons if i need it only for drawing 😅

Hi new oneplus pad 2 is just recently launched. I hope you will do the pen test of that tablet too.
There's supposed to be a way for the pen to do something when you tap on it. When you break it apart, it has the sensors in there for that.

OnePlus pen has pressure, tilt and palm rejection. A capacitive pen will not have those features.

It is capable enough. But if you can find Samsung Tab S8 orS8 Plus at around the same price, get Samsung because Samsung OneUI is better
