    very pretty video
    thank you for speaking out about big flat-chested/flat-bummed pattern corp, a lot of "beginner friendly" patterns i find just have the same front and back panels and this just does NOT work for me, for a lot of us really
    and thanks for showing the way in which you adapted the pattern to fix that problem, the not-increasing-the-front move was honestly genius

    4,0 and 5,0 are my favorites. But that is partly because I really like the hooks I have in those sizes. I feel like a lot of patterns lack short rows so the front and back look the same which doesn't give the best fit. Most of us are not the same in the front and the back... 😂 😅

    Just been on a pattern hunt for similar. The Marble Shorts by Katerina have a free version, and are crocheted in two pieces then seamed for more stability and less stretching out in the bum area. They also have short rows to raise the back waistline. Going to give them a try…

    My hooks usually range from 2mm to 4,5mm, so I guess my favourite is in the 3mm-3,5mm range. I made a few sweaters/cardis with the 6mm though and it almost felt like cheating

  • @agnesteppo
    @agnesteppo 2 месяца назад +6

    3mm hook for sure! I think I’ve done most of my projects with it and it’s just perfect for almost everything😅

      @annafoglesong1419 2 месяца назад +2

      Same! 4.5 feels the most natural to me. I will always reach for it first and see how it feels, then go from there if i need to move up or down

      I really want to get into crochet but how do you actually get into it and learn

    • @Beans-12
      @Beans-12 2 месяца назад

      @@Starjulia3 for me i went to a yarn store with my mum and saw the coolest yarn and didnt want to leave without a project ahah so she showed me how to crochet and from there i kinda became obsessed. I think def immersing yourself on pinterest in crochet and finding a yarn you really like (but can actually see this stitches), and looking up videos on stitches so you have the visual (if you have no one to show you) and then find a project and just use the end goal as motivation!!!
      no clue if this will help but that is my advice! remember it's going to be so frustrating at the start because you have to learn yarn tension but stick with it and you'll feel like a pro. It will become something that feels natural to you but obviously at the start it wont! most people quit because they find that they feel impatient but it's just because you haven't picked up the skill 👍👍
      sorry so much information ahaha

    Loving it! The set is sooo cute! Also, really nice to see you chill at the beach and river, gave me some peace as well. And as always impressed how you are so chill with the adaptions, I would have never figured it out and probable unravel everything. Tempted to make the shorts as well.
