This is such a return to form. I like the canyon and imaginary enemy, but this is bringing me back to what made me originally fall in love with them. I'm so hyped for what's next!
The heaviness is incredible and really brings back the old sound. Hopefully it's not just because Jason Butler was featured. He really crushed it in the song.

Canyon was launched in 2017 and is a piece of art. I didn't like the previous two (Vulnerable and Imaginary Enemy), but The Canyon was a great comeback.
I'm not saying people are horrible or anything by pointing out that they're unaware to the fact that the Used has been consistently pumping out pieces of art since back in the day began, but all I'm saying is please do research before making public statements lol. Are we better than everyone for knowing they've been around? Nope. But hey. I think the old "emo" scene is getting play again thanks to the MCR reunion shows and that's why there's misconceptions I didn't listen to the Canyon enough and I should give it more listens. I enjoyed Imaginary Enemy and Vulnerable, but Artwork will still be the album to reign supreme for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this new album plays out. The Used has been my top band and always will be.
The Canyon is my favorite album... I love the early stuff but they’ve grown up and it showed on The Canyon in every aspect. This song is great, it rips! Big call in bringing Jason from Letlive and Fever 333 to collaborate. The message behind this song is important too. Depression is no joke.

They came in November 2017, and then for the last Warped tour in June 2018. I'm sure they will be back soon they usually do 2 NIGHTS 2! 😍

@@oXspartaXo Yep, I mentioned the touring in my second comment 😉 That tour was great! I caught 2 dates in that run. Well technically 4 because they did each record on a separate night. But yep, it's kind of crazy when I think about it. I first saw them live in early 2003. Went to a few shows with their original lineup. Went to a few shows in 2007 on the Lies for the Liars run which was Dan's first tour with the band. They played The Palms in Vegas and one of their only couple live performances of Pain. I've basically been to at least one show on every album tour cycle they've ever done. Even The Ocean of the Sky EP when they were playing Iddy Biddy. I was lucky enough to become friends with my favorite band. So I try to catch them whenever I have a chance and hang before and after the shows. I really miss Quinn. I don't know Joey too well yet but look forward to getting to know him better in the future and can't wait to hear more of the new record and see how he sounds on it.

We don't get much here in Western Australia anymore and we dont really have any "alternative" music festivals anymore. The east coast gets more bands and us Westies get left out.
I thought The Canyon was pretty heavy. Their best work after the self titled and In Love And Death imo and straight up a great rock album. Let's hope the rest is similar and John Feldmann doesn't ruin it. I've gotten my hopes up for Imaginary Enemy after listening to Cry, but the album i got was underwhelming, to put it mildly.

Like I know everyone’s been indulging in this dadaistic-ish artwork these past few years but imo most people can’t really catch the vibe these frames should be giving off and the final result looks+feels kinda mellow?? in a way. That’s the same mellow artwork that created the e-girl/boy subculture and not that there’s anything wrong with it but whoever created the animation here really knows the game. A classic, raw 00s myspace account type of collage AND I’M so DIGGING IT!!!

Nice to hear The Used going back to their older sound with Aalons screams def adds that nostalgia feel that The Used had in their early 2000 albums. You don't hear Bert scream as much these days the Used has matured their sound quite a bit over the years so makes me wonder if this is just gonna be one of them one off tracks. Definitely has a nostalgic feel though.

@@oXspartaXo Yep, I mentioned the touring in my second comment 😉 That tour was great! I caught 2 dates in that run. Well technically 4 because they did each record on a separate night. But yep, it's kind of crazy when I think about it. I first saw them live in early 2003. Went to a few shows with their original lineup. Went to a few shows in 2007 on the Lies for the Liars run which was Dan's first tour with the band. They played The Palms in Vegas and one of their only couple live performances of Pain. I've basically been to at least one show on every album tour cycle they've ever done. Even The Ocean of the Sky EP when they were playing Iddy Biddy. I was lucky enough to become friends with my favorite band. So I try to catch them whenever I have a chance and hang before and after the shows. I really miss Quinn. I don't know Joey too well yet but look forward to getting to know him better in the future and can't wait to hear more of the new record and see how he sounds on it.
@@closinginonclosure I saw your comment about touring under your original comment after I replied. Felt a bit stupid. I saw them over two nights doing the first two albums which was all we got here. We don't get much here in Western Australia anymore and we dont really have any "alternative" music festivals anymore. The east coast gets more bands and us Westies get left out.

The one take-approach of their latest record was a great idea and respectably well done but somehow I like that heavier sound more 🤷🏼♂️.
I thought The Canyon was pretty heavy. Their best work after the self titled and In Love And Death imo and straight up a great rock album. Let's hope the rest is similar and John Feldmann doesn't ruin it. I've gotten my hopes up for Imaginary Enemy after listening to Cry, but the album i got was underwhelming, to put it mildly.
@@AshesOfArcadia Feldy did In Love And Death though, so hopefully they'll release another masterpiece. He's gotta get back to his roots.
@@CodyAlushin For sure did a great Job on In Love And Death, but Vulnerable and Imaginary Enemy were the two worst The Used LP's to date. I would have hoped that they continue with same style and producer as on The Canyon. The most grown up Album they've made so far imo.

Like I know everyone’s been indulging in this dadaistic-ish artwork these past few years but imo most people can’t really catch the vibe these frames should be giving off and the final result looks+feels kinda mellow?? in a way. That’s the same mellow artwork that created the e-girl/boy subculture and not that there’s anything wrong with it but whoever created the animation here really knows the game. A classic, raw 00s myspace account type of collage AND I’M so DIGGING IT!!!

Nice to hear The Used going back to their older sound with Aalons screams def adds that nostalgia feel that The Used had in their early 2000 albums. You don't hear Bert scream as much these days the Used has matured their sound quite a bit over the years so makes me wonder if this is just gonna be one of them one off tracks. Definitely has a nostalgic feel though.
