Believe me I’m enormously grateful to see them together again, but am I out of line for wanting Doughty to be a bit more animated, energetic, and/or enthusiastic?? I realize he’s older and soberer, but…. maybe he could include in his ryder a request for one of those rooms that people pay to destroy the contents of with a baseball bat. That or an extra pot of coffee or two.
@@chraffis I dunno. I was pretty happy and impressed with how tight they sounded as a band after all these years. I’ll take good musicianship over some knucklehead running around the stage constantly trying to hype up the crowd. If I wanted to see that, I would go to a hip-hop show not an alternative rock concert
@@lukeimontv7086 Fair enough. And is the knucklehead young Doughty with the smooth, half beatnik/half hip hop hand dance moves? I guess I liked that. Mostly the energy. Do you play music? If so, you know the energy of a song when it’s new and freshly written. The first times it’s played (amd recorded) is often the best, most hard to top version. It’s simply excitement and conviction, I think. The more it’s played the more you feel Like an actor trying to capture that initial emotion and energy. I guess that’s a little of what I’m hearing in Soul C. 2024. I like the sound mixes of the early shows, too but this is RUclips and my iPhone so, you know…
@@lukeimontv7086 Sebastian seems to be the most in-to-it… But I’ll quit with the critical complaining. All in all, them being back together and playing live makes me a very happy camper. Thanx for the reply
