First I had a bad feeling and tought.... what a fool.... but when you opend the throttle and went away I was shocked ;-) What a wonderful sounding motor. Wowwwww A++++++++++ Well done mate! Well done.
@@cotterpinkid3363 There is something I would like to add. I did not mean to be rude. Since my mother tongue is Swiss German and my English is only modest, my first comment came across as a bit harsh. Please accept my apologies. Cheers Phil
@@elmoreguess441 there is no apology needed, the video was to 'um mich über mich lustig zu machen' (to make fun of myself). The Velocette is used very regularly and is normally a good starter 👍
Thanks for the comment. The reason for not starting was due to a wet sump, it had been standing during the pandemic. The Venom is still being used regularly and has plenty of compression 👍
If you are start these British motorcycle after many months. Clean everything first. Then charge the battery. Then put the gear in second. And roll down in slope when it touch 10 kmph release the clutch. It will start immediately. When you kick these many times when engine is cold. You are damaging the whole train. Everything from kick shaft to cams to valves pushrods. So never kick it this many times.

What a pretty thing!
A very nice Venom, but it seems to have a serious lack of compression?

Hi Brian, I've lost a little weight since then, but fat bikers do bounce better! The Velocette is now a good starter 👍🏍
