The absolute beauty of Chapter 30. My remark stating "there's a reason this love story between Fanny and Edmund took about one page". We can go into how Fanny loses respect for Edmund. We can go into Fanny compromising her own values in the choice she made, which, in reality, isn't much different than the settles others made since page 1. Does Jane Austen, who never romanticiszes Fanny's choice, want the reader to settle as well?
