Instead of Baofeng, look at the Tidradio TD-H3. Transmits on Ham bands and GMRS FRS, local commercial/fire, etc channels, FM broadcast. My opinion is its a bit better radio than that Baofeng. I have that one too. Just ordered another H3. Check it out if you are looking for another good option. Oh, and it's USB C programmable and charging thru USB C. About $40 with 2 batteries... Almost forgot to add, you can also listen to aircraft with the H3.
