I agree tho.. I never taught kids to slide into first head first.. a lot of broken fingers.. it may have been worse if he was running thru the bag just because of how the 2nd baseman slipped across the whole bag..

you can, but there is really no reason to when you'll get there faster 100% of the time when you can run through the base. not sure why he decided to do that

Why bunt? I'd swing away for a sac fly and get that runner in.
That strategy is only for pool play in a tournament.. when you in state playoffs you bunt to get the run in.. you just have to bunt to left or right of pitcher or even squeeze.. you can not leave a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs in a series like these or bracket play in any tournament. Don’t care how great of hitter you are.. we bunt to get the run in regardless!!! Chess not checkers

2nd out in bottom of 7th looked like a bad strike call. Then he had to swing at another high one, because likely it would have been called a high strike again.
Ball was at his stomach.. had to see the entire at bat.. he missed 2 fast balls he fouled off before that pitch

@@MrCruelsafix Top of the 5th… McIntosh pitcher walked out lead off batter, who has 47 regular season steals, on 4 straight pitches.. then the SS,one of my kids I love, comes up on a great throw down from my boy Chase #3 McIntosh catcher .. which puts our fastest runner in scoring with no outs.. then pitcher decides to go to 3rd on the bunt instead of getting the out.. this would prove fatal as now you have our runner who slides behind a bad throw from the catcher on the right side of the bag and tried to tag falling back on his left side.. now we got no outs still with the tie runner he let on trying to get a runner that didn’t matter…
@@MrCruelsafix note that is the 2 batter and he is also fast and now the coach tried to pitch the 3 batter outside to line up a double when he is also super fast and still no outs .. so now chip shot and we score with runners on 2nd and 1st who are both fast.. next a bad execution on a play that had our runner at 2nd dead in the water and allows 2 fast runners in scoring position with no outs when it could have been 1 out and possibly 2 if we bunt to move 3 batter over if McIntosh would have taken care of 2 batter on that bunt.. next batter pops up which would have gave them 2 outs with runner on 1st… instead we hit one in the hole (Tucker) and then the SS instead of allowing tie run at the plate and eating the ball he throws it knowing fast runner on 2 and 1 out only .. rush throw bad hop and now tie runner and go ahead runner scores instead of being 2 outs with runner on 1st and 2nd up 3-2..
