Whereas resale of ICE vehicle is around 30k minimum which a person will get if he sells in 5 years. So how ev is cheaper than ICE? If in case the battery is required to be replaced after 3 years in an ev. A person can buy another ice vehicle with that price. Because with time motor / controller will also be reaching their end of life which will be a costlier affair to mantain an ev.
Considering my case I got Ather 450x for 1.75 lakh in mangalore and ran 13000 km in six months for which electricity cost is about 3000 rs till now … Serviced twice 2000 rs Cost of running 5000 rs in 6 month 10000 per year.. In petrol scooty 13000 km would cost 30000 rs approx 60000 per year 3 lakh for 5 year Which means I can get extra money back in 2.5 years They give me 60000 km guarantee so for 5 year I would save approximately 3 lakh rs petrol money ..,🙂
Why r ù assuming resale value of ice will be always more even aft 5 yrs. When more ppl run ev aft each passing yr ice demand and resale value will be less.

Bhai mene apne Ather 450x gen3 ka last service karvi jisme belt aur pulley change hua jiska bill 8000rs lag gaya bhai. Bahut costly hai Iska spare part jo ki mane ather leke Bahut bada galti kr diya.
India is not yet ready for electric vehicle particularly for tier 2-3 cities also do not buy it if you have running between 30-40 km daily. Further do not buy ev as your primary vehicle

Ather which is a premium brand has poor service issues, high initial cost, pricy spare parts and durability is ambiguous. And yes i still believe Tier 3 indian cities are yet not ready for ev where we get unannounced electric cuts every hour buying ev is not a wise decision.

30k your paying for internet and feature such as map, track my scooter, extended warranty. Minus 30k if u compare from activa as activa come with no feature

Y do I need to know where my scooter is when I know where I parked it. Gimmicks are something on which companies are looting customers. People need to travel from point a to point B without hassles or issues and when you are getting late to reach a place you will be running your scooter like hell and not running any features. Don't fall in the trap of ev companies they are just looting customers as of now. Developing an eco system for ev was the first step which govt missed as they wanted sales first. Charging infra not operational. Swappable battery scooters like gogora are only running in B2B segment. They are not being allowed to run a B2C sales as govt also knows no one will be buying branded ev after that. Try to understand the game. Don't fall for features fall for something which is more important
From your calculation average daily running is 40 to 45 kms, and you said advance features is not the requirement. So first thing is why opt for rizta top model? You can do the math with rizta 2.9 kwh without pro pack. It is around 1,20,000 rs onroad. Or you can choose chetak 2901 or vida v1 plus too which costs 1,07,000 rs onroad. This will give you a better insight.

And as u said ur father charges scooter after every few kms who can do that daily for people who live in high rise or go to job daily. If I have to go somewhere during an emergency I will never prefer an ev. For practical working ICE is always preferred. You will never find emergency service vehicles to be EV as govt also knows if charging hati durghatna ghati. Even we will never prefer an ev in case something urgent is required to be done. People can keep both but trust building and reducing cost of ownership will always be on ICE vehicles. Hub motors are a major drawback. I have seen plenty of iqube cases around me. Let the time passby as more and more hub motor cases will come in limelight no one will buy iqube. Vida has serious battery draining / malfunction during ride mode. Limp mode to be specific. Chetak has slow charging no fast charging support. Ola to kis service centre ne nahi khola u tell. Sabki kharaab hoti hai. Ather - parts / pricing / service everything is expensive. Simple one - the most complicated never seen / rivot motors - mr India. Brisk ev - avail on instagram and social media / LML emotion same situation. LAPA motors - lost. Kaam Kahan ho raha hai it's in RUclips videos where you people encourage but companies are lost / govt does not take any strict actions. Ola has so poor service still number 1.
