You are my FAVORITE TEACHER! The way you teach (slow and steady) sticks with me, and I like that I can play along several times slowly. I like your approach, as if we are sitting in a chair in the room with you, and you are our one-on-one teacher. Thanks SO MUCH!
Thanks for the kind words!
@@AngelaPetrilliMusic It's a joy and an honor for us to be able that we are privileged with you as our mentor in this beautiful journey embarked that we are thank you for your big generous kind heart thank you.
Working this song up with my band. Your expertise was absolutely the boost I needed for wrapping up some nuances I was missing! Awesomeness! Great job and I'll shout out to you when we play it live!
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Great video. Keep em coming.
Best guitar instructions I have ever seen, hands down! Thanks for taking the time to show the finite details. And thanks for sharing!❤
I'm in love with your method and your amazing attitude!!✨
Great lesson. Have learned how to play with thumb over the neck as a result. I love the incandescent groove in Favorite Mistake. Thanks very much.
Keep doing this Angela❤️ bless you!
Wow . What a gem this lady is.
Hi Angela, fantastic song and lesson. I had heard the song and then looked up the lesson and their you were and I said "Yes!" I never realized there were so many parts in this song but it sounds so cool, definitely a freaking favorite and that chorus sounds better than the song, lol, seriously. Thanks so much, your the best and no pedals for me, can't afford them anyway. Peace 🕊️ Angela.
I’ve been a huge Sheryl Crow fan since the early 90’s.. a big favourite of mine, but then they are all great songs. Thank you so much Angela✌️
Hi Angela , I would like to thank you for the efforts you put into your tutorials , great song choices. “ My favourite mistake “ is an all time favourite ( fabulous timing and swagger, like it’s both rhythm and lead )
After looking at three of your presentations I subscribed, your approach to breaking the sections down and your attention to detail is fabulous.
But I gotta say I find myself watching you more then the actual technique, it’s because you just burst with joy and passion in what your doing! It’s wonderful to see , keep it up !
Now I gotta focus on those hands ! 😂😂😀
Angela, girl thank you so much! I have had so much fun learning this awesome tune from you. I watch your lessons on Sunday.I am from Connecticut and the Wah-wah pedal is my favorite. You pick the best songs to teach:)
It is a very fun song to play and you did a great job teaching it!
Thank you!
Man, the moment I pick up my guitar I'm playing my favorite mistake! :D Beautiful lesson Angela, as are all of your lessons. I now have a favorite RUclips channel.
You have a lovely crisp, clean approach to this tune. Nice.
Favorite peddle reverb, comp, chorus, delay, and of course my awesome rhythm.
What a great lesson. Reminds me of that 2000”s +/- when she has so much fantastic hits (“John Mayer is the the Sheryl Crow of our generation!”). Viewing in Denver and currently loving a little Boss Blues Driver.
Perfect !! Many Thanks !!
Excellent !!

Great Video aweaome teaching and sounds thanks Angela!
I literally just watched you demo a nice 56 CS strat at Normans and you mentioned & played this song with such vibe I just had to look it up. Had no idea what the song was called but after a few searches lo and behold! You also happen to teach this song. I could not be happier. Everyone else just seemed so... sugar free. It's raining and chilly here, so I'm getting fire place going, some red's and my trusty old strat. Many thanks!
Awesome… love the lesson! Just regret missing it the first time when I was looking after seeing you play it on norm’s channel 🤭
You really have a superb touch on guitar, with a lot of feel and expression ... Hendrix and Knopfler in the same hands.
You truly are an incredible guitarist.
I just learned this on my Strat!. I always loved this song and then I saw your video! Bang! I am tuning in from Moultonborough N.H. and thank you for teaching me. Plus you are adorable! sorry
Tejas! Great Lesson! The Rhythm seems seems easy BUT...for someone who hasn't touched the Song for Years, it's challenging especially with Arthritis! Thank You!
*One of My Favorite Pedals; Rockett Gold IKoN/JHS Screamer/Boss BD-2w Waza Blues Driver
Golden Boy, Klon, Wong/Tone City King of Blues, RYRA, Stew Mac "Ghost Drive" DIY Pedal
Amazing lesson. Covers all of the nuances that just don't come across from just watching a concert video.
Your facial expressions are incredible… glad I found you! Keep it coming please…thank you. Be safe, Cheers!
Hi Angela. Linda in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada here. Thanks for your tutorials. So much faster than tab! My favourite guitar pedal is the Beat Buddy.

I hadn’t been back to the channel since this great Sheryl Crow song and looks like it has been all acoustic lessons since. Another fun bluesy electric lesson would be great.
Thank you really great instructional videos ty
nice song and nice teaching
Hi from Massachusetts! Love, your tutorials! I don’t have any pedals… yet.
Great lesson! Love your Strat. Maryland here and favs are Strat (Eric Special) any old tube fender amp, pedals tube screamer, original phase 90 a good looper.
14 minutes to get to the second chord! But you are teaching them well!!!!!
I'm digging yer smile when you're making a point....
I use to play that great song but with that video, I will play it a lot better. Like the way you make your video, great teacher! Hello from Quebec, Canada!
Perfect lesson from a perfect lady, thanks so much
Orange County, So Cal, and my favorite pedal is my MXR distortion +
I was fortunate enough to see Sheryl Crow on her Wildflower tour and she stopped in to the Ford Idaho Center, this was at the same time she just got married to Lance Armstrong. Little did those of us in the audience know that near the end of the show, she'd bring out Lance Armstrong and a good friend of his who'd been at their Sun Valley, ID wedding. None other than Robin Williams (RIP) shuffled out onstage and he and Armstrong started dancing around Sheryl Crow and joking with her and the rest of the band. Crow laughed so hard at their antics, she stopped and had to re start the song Everyday is A Winding Road. When she halted the band and restarted it, Williams and Armstrong high fived and ran offstage waving to the crowd and both laughing.
Algonac Michigan U.S.A
I have been digital for a while now. My Morley power wah was my favorite go to pedal.
MY FAVORITE TEACHER!!!! YES!
Angela... your cover on Tennessee whiskey was great... really loved your performance...
If you have time could put a tutorial for your cover...
OMG!!! You are an AWESOME teacher. Please consider doing Sultans of Swing… the song that inspired me to play guitar yet eludes me. Thank you for the lessons.
Australia 👍 I’m an old guy. My favourite pedal was a 1970’s Schaller Wah Wah pedal.
Awesome lesson! Killing myself trying to get the main riff feel to flow, lol. I was flipping between your lesson and the recording, and noted 2 other details. On the Bb in the bridge the guitarist adds a C-note on the high e-string, super cool, I've never done that before. Also there's that "guitar octave" lick at the end of the chorus refrains that goes "b... d slide to e, e..."
Watching from Florida.
Really digging my soulfood pedal
Sun City, CA, fav pedal RC/AC booster
My favorite guitar petal would be the Magnolia Flower and I'm tuning in from the Dark Side of the Moon.
Following you from Egypt
Thanks for sharing another mighty fine lesson.
Please, please can we have a lesson on your version of Tennessee Whiskey, I'll never tire of asking as your playing on that video is jaw droppingly brilliant.
So beautiful..
You got me on fire to play again. Dusting off the amp time
Wow I know we are here to talk about music but you are just unbelievable as far as beauty, so awesome to watch playing it’s like sharing souls with intimacy , where was you when I was deciding between love and stardom, it’s like watching a dream that didn’t happen for me but I can see it clearly here on your channel, with that said , you’re a great teacher I will join because I didn’t do cover tunes much , I would write and the see if it was truly original thank you,***** stars
No favourite mistake here........just a lot of mistakes. I love your teaching style, so I will keep at it.
Vancouver BC 😎
hey angela im a fan of yours and also really appreciate your teaching method! im using an acoustic guitar to learn this song so maybe this is why, but i have a hard time getting that percussive strum down. do you have any other videos where you talk about it more?
Please, please a lesson on your version of Tennessee Whiskey. 😀
Ohh, hermosa mujer❤❤❤
Here is how Wendy Malvoin, who came up with the intro. riff, and played it on the recording, plays her intro. to 'My Favorite Mistake'
ruclips.net/video/8F_IX4b85y8/видео.html
It is also worth noting that for players with smaller hands (like Wendy), you can bar the chord with your first finger, rather than trying to reach over the top to fret the low E string with one's thumb.
Merry Christmas beautiful lady , thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace grace grace amen 🙏
Toronto
Tennessee whisky tutorial plzzz
Hi Angela! I’m really enjoying learning this song. I remember playing it on my boombox back in the 90’s.lol You have really cool Strat there. What model and color is it? It’s so beautiful.

hola, Barcelona España.
ag jissis girl - jy is soo fkn mooi ek kannie by hou nie ! - go guitar lana !!
Alaska , my boss chorus box
more than one way to skin this cat baby, my low e ain't even on the board, but i'm finding a way to get there. this is a pretty easy tune that sounds so dynamite. i like to pick up a guitar and play stuff like this in pawn shops, it sure gets their attention which is not bad for a guy that doesn't even know how to play a guitar. i don't think i'll ever be good enough to make that claim, but i can play this and i can sure set up a guitar, whatever it takes and hey, i'm usin a blues jr to do this right now. just bought it so i ain't gonna turn it off for a while. i got absolutely nothing to do but play the guitar and i just can't seem to drink it off my mind.
your sound is so nice and warm. lesson as lesson maybe too long for me. beginers and someone who is trying to break basics in blues and rock guitar should find this as goldie!! very detailed and friendly for basics (Amajor Bminor things, rythm.. You know Cheryl did here good job ..). Advanced guitarist could repeat some basics things here if they forgot . just like me.
❤🎉
You are so beyond adorable. I love your energy...
