@@TheWafflesFam depending on what your fishing for, Lake of the Ozark’s has great Bass fishing, they actually have a Big Bass Bash tournament down there every year. Lake of the Ozark’s was actually featured on River Monsters for having some of the Largest fresh water catfish around, you should watch that episode. If your looking to get into some great Crappie fishing Truman Lake would s the place to be, they have several Crappie trail tournaments there throughout the year. I wish you the best of luck fishing wherever you end up, and look forward to your post once you get a chance.
I saw your big black drum at the bogging of the video, and o have to say congratulations! It took me 35 minutes to bring in a large black drum. It was 41.5” long which was oversized, but very cool! The only bad thing was no camera, and it was before everyone had cell phones so no pictures.
i will be back in July, have you guys tried The Phoenix Restaurant. My friends sister owns it. BTW on spring break the college students where flashing us for Jalepeno Poppers, no joke. Hint when you party on spring break don't forget to bring food. lol
@@TheWafflesFam Robert’s Park has produced Trout, sheepshead (big ones) a few flounder, and if you can get a spot closer to the ferry landing in the evening, huge reds... also some gafftop and mangrove snapper...
Another spot in Port A is called Charlie’s Pasture, when you get off the ferry, bear right at the light and I believe it’s the first road that goes right after you turn at the light. I’ve caught mangrove snapper, reds, and trout there. 😊
Its a hit or miss over there. Caught nice reds and big ol uglys out there where y’all are at. I use mullet and crab. Rockport has been on fire with big uglys
How was the weather I’m planning on going this weekend and gonna try out saltwater fishing for the first time with my own equipment? And was it already getting packed with people for spring break?
They hadn’t come in yet, but this week might be the spring breakers. You’ll have to checkout if the fish are still in the shallows, or back in the deep. If they’re in the deep, hit up the south jetty 3/4 of the way down with some spoons from our “fishing monster reds” vid, mullet or shrimp. Good luck!!!
Do you mainly use frozen smelly shrimp or live? I mostly fish artificials for reds and trout. Need to get some of that big ugly action though. I heard dead smelly was better for the black drum? Yeah or nah? Thanks y’all!
New Subscriber from South Texas, nice catch, awesome video keep them coming. tight lines my friends 🤙
March 22 twinky21 🤘🏻 y'all keep up the good work. In jelly. I wish my girl would get down like this

Another big Drum. Awesome video. “Fish On”
Thanks Kevin!
You guys are killing it!!
It was a good trip 😅😜
An absolutely amazing video, when the thunder storms stop here in Missouri, I’ll be hitting the water myself.
Get it!! 🎣 ironically, we are headed to fish in Missouri in a few weeks!!
Fingers crossed it goes well! Lol
@@TheWafflesFam what body of water in Missouri ?
Not sure yet🤣
What do you suggest? 😄💜

Fish On 🎣🎣🎣
The Black Drum follow you wherever you go. Fish on
Right!? This trip that is definitely the case!!!
I like your video thank you for sharing 🛎👍
Thank you!! 💜
This is my favorite place... day or night... easy access for me and my bad legs... not many places I can access because of my arthritic knees. 😊
It is a much most restful fishing experience compared to the jetty for sure! What do you usually catch out there?

Oh that’s awesome! We caught a few out in that area last week. Good to know! Yeah some spots are just like that. Fire or crap 🤣.
Got you a new follower!
Good to have you man!! You gotta check out the new Red we landed on the jetty out there. 42 inch it was awesome!!!

What was your rod and reel combo? Did y’all use a 7 foot ? 8 foot rod ? Rig ?
7 foot on this trip 3oz weight 12 inch liter and a hook 🙂
What were you using for bait I’m down here fishing rn
Dead shrimp this day 🙂
I will be going thursday fishing. Where is a good place in port aransas
The south jetty or Roberts park are great!
That's a nice place to fish
Definitely! Our favorite.
I remember fishing here last year
Any luck?
@@TheWafflesFam no
What kind of bait do y’all use? And dang that’s a big fish 😳
That was on shrimp 😄 yes sir!!

Fish on,. Come to southeast Louisiana!
We want to hit Louisiana SO bad.
Fish close to the Ferry landing!!!
I’ve heard this! Haven’t tried it yet though. Next time!
It is hard to.get close, everyone flocks there. Go back to Port A Outfitters and get a big round net,. Easier to pull in big fish.
what do y’all use for bait?
In this vid, dead shrimp.
I go fishing there all the time and I never catch anything lol
That always sucks! I’m so sorry!! Maybe try our rigging and bait next time?
I always catch there. Took me a bit to figure it out. Use slam hooks. Lighter line and try different depths. Fresh fresh shrimp.
@@TheWafflesFam what bait and rig?
What bait yall use?
Dead shrimp that day.
Bait?
Dead shrimp 🦐
All I need is a little guidance on the rigging and bait you’re throwing. Cool vid otherwise!
We had a 3 oz weight most of this trip, 12-18 inch liter, bait hook and a shrimp.
Family Bam ??? What are you age 12???
Actually, our name was picked by my daughter who was 6 at the time. 😘
@@TheWafflesFam I was referring to your use of the term "FAM BAM" in a video. It's a dumb Gen Z term that sounds immature and ridiculous.
