I could watch these two talk about drums every week.

As a non-professional drummer, this conversation was very dense, informationally. As such, I had to watch it in batches, over the course of a week, just so I had time to process the data. I am very grateful to these guys for allowing me a glimpse into the lives of truly dedicated musicians. After many years of envy, I was able to buy my first Gretsch kit two years ago and I am so pleased with it. Thank you for mounting this series. I look forward to future installments.

So cool to hear a shout out to Malta! I remember that exact show when Kneebody played first with Nate on bass and Mark on drums. This was followed by Mehliana: Mark playing duo with Brad Mehldau. It was the first time I met both Mark and Nate, and the music completely blew my very green, teenage mind! 😂 Super inspirational, as is this video! 😁

"And I was like, shut up brain. And I just kinda pushed through and I got something I was happy with." - Nate Wood.
There's some solid advice within that statement.
Shut up brain!! Then keep working on your shit.

F’n David Bowie froze mark... somewhere in space. Weird eh, or maybe not so much... so cool. Big dorky fan here... Tristan from Rochester, two of the best, and my favorites.

Tony starred playing louder, stronger and with more drums because of Billy Cobhams influence. 53:14
