    First off you’re awesome! This is legit the FIRST day in the life video I’ve ever watched on here that actually explains the tasks of your day to day while still respecting Company privacy. As a self taught analyst that transitioned over from being a claims adjuster, and a black woman as well, I really enjoyed this video and will be subscribing now! ☺️

      @@ohemanae no thank you seriously! I ended up binging some of your videos last night & plan on continuing today. I got an offer yesterday for my 2nd BI analyst role so I literally found you at the perfect time. I’m actually watching your stuff with a notebook & pen in hand bc of all the useful info that I will be using in my next role. Thank you so much 🥹

    Finally a day in the life video that actually feels realistic! I'm trying to move into this work field (coming from within IT) and some of the other day in the life videos just didn't give a clear image at all. Really appreciate this!

    I listened to a lot of videos of other bloggers, and I liked your videos the most! The voice is so pleasant, enough information. Thanks a lot ! If possible, could you recreate the Data Analyst interview?

      Thank you so much 😊
      & I followed a non traditional path to becoming a Data Analyst ( ruclips.net/video/emSrHHIC6ts/видео.html )
      so I personally did not experience the interview process.

      I personally have not taken this course but check out Reddit & other RUclips videos to hear some tips from people who have actually went through it.
      I hope this helps.

    Great video! When drilling down the data on engineers attrition rate did you use data provided from the stakeholder that gave reasons for engineers being let go or quitting?

    • @ohemanae
      @ohemanae  Год назад +1

      Hi Eli,
      Thank you 😊
      & I did not show it in the video but prior to determining that engineers had the highest attrition rate, I created a chart that compared all roles in the data.
      Engineers had the highest # of exit dates so that outcome showed in the video.
      This data did not include reasons as to why engineers were leaving or were let go but I have worked with data that included survey responses that provided reasons as to why someone voluntarily left the company/team or why they were let go.

    I'm a software engineer and know both Python and SQL pretty fluently. Which one do you use more Python or SQL? Also, can I extract excel files with pandas and work with data that way or is excel required?

    • @ohemanae
      @ohemanae  Год назад +2

      Hi Ralph,
      That is awesome 🙌🏾
      I mainly work with SQL.
      The teams I have worked with throughout the years have a preference towards me working directly with excel so it really does depend on the team you work with but it definitely is a possibility to work with the data in other ways.
      I hope this helps.

      @@ohemanae Yes that does help thank you for the response. One more question would you say you work with SQL more bcuz that's what you're more familiar with?

    • @ohemanae
      @ohemanae  Год назад +1

      Not at all. All the teams I have worked with coincidentally utilize SQL 😅
      That is why I personally have gained more hands on experience with SQL.

I was just wondering how you got into the field or if that’s where you first started your career? What kind of tips can you give for someone that wants to get into the field? Thank you!!
