Former scoliosis surgery patient and med student debrief w Dr. Hey after 2 scoliosis surgeries.

Saleena is a 20 yo premed who had scoliosis surgery 4 years ago with Dr Hey. today she got a chance to actually watch two scoliosis surgeries for two teenagers alongside Austin who is a second year medical student. We did a briefing this morning on Instagram where Dr. Hey Shared how he got interested in becoming a doctor by first being a patient 46 years ago today June 5th. throughout the day today Austin and Saleena got to Shadow Dr Hay interacting with the patients in the pre-op area and the operating room and following surgery. in this short video they share their debriefing on what they learned including key things about safety and teamwork.

My back is better than ever, thanks to Dr Hey and his excellent team! My first major surgery was in 2012, T1 to pelvis with pelvic fixation. I had a second surgery to repair 4 broken rods one year ago in 2023. The recovery was rapid and perfect! You literally changed my life and I can't thank you enough. Today at age 65, I babysat my 7 month old granddaughter. I never would have been able to do that without Dr Hey giving me a titanium spine. Thank you! God bless you greatly, Dr Hey!

Finally something is done for scoliotics,.. can you tell why scoliosis is called for decades "the shame of the modern medicine" ?
