I remember buying the Jio Phone 4G for my dad when it first came out since he wanted a non touch phone. The phone was 500rs only. But it was so terrible and buttons were falling out. It was also super slow. He threw it out within a month. I get that Reliance is making hardware for people with less buying power. But this is creating more ewaste. For 15000rs you will easily get a decent chromebook. Or a used windows laptop that will be actually productive.

UI experience matters a lot, Jio OS is not upto the mark instead we can install prime os and bliss os based on android on windows laptop which provides smooth performance on any laptop.

Very honest and fully justified review. At this price it’s not a good device at all. Chrome book, android tablet so many options are there with better specifications at this price range. So, if you need a easily portable device for multitasking then android tablet is good, chrome book you also can keep in your choice and if possible increase the budget upto 17-18k and you will get a standard windows laptop as well. My suggestion is that you take a windows laptop by increasing your budget a few thousand rupees. That’ll be worth it.
