This park has been inspiring me for a couple of years and, in addition to some rides, also offers a great well-structured theme and some spectacular views of the attractions. You go through a total of 9 subject areas, in which one runs for example through England, Germany, Italy and France."

This is my home park, and he did an incredible job. Haven’t been in a couple years, but it’s exactly as I remember everything. Even the attention to detail on the coasters is phenomenal. For example, Alpengeist has unique support structures for the lift hill, which are present in this recreation. Another interesting bit of detail on Alpengeist, entering the mid-course brake run the coaster snaps from the banked curve to the flat, and even that is present. Excellent job at recreating it. From a local, 8.5-9.5/10

I will say that I never got to ride Dracon Fire, Almost did but decided to pass...in some ways I'm glad I didn't but I kinda wished I did...What turned me off to it was the fact that ppl were complaining about the jerking... But BBW was my first coaster...so sad to see her go. I've lived here all my life & I live about 15 - 20 mins away from BG.

Hi Jonny! Thank you for this Park Spotlight!!
Maybe I should have to tell you more about the other attractions in the park. :-D The problem is that it’s really hard for me to write long texts in English. :-D
Escape from Pompeii is a Shoot the Chute, which is also located in the italy section. I uploaded a video from this ride on my channel with the original sound, if you like to see it. You really should watch a video of the real ride on RUclips, it’s fantastic. :-)
The Roman Rapids ride is in the Fiesta Italia section.
I didn’t know that it’s possible to make this map bigger, thank you for this idea!
When I started this project I only wanted to recreate Alpengeist and Le Scoot, I never thought that I will do a complete re-creation. That’s the reason why there are differences to the original and some missing attractions. :’D
Anyway, thank you for this Spotlight!

I've never been to BG Williamsburg, even though it's one of the most popular, closet theme parks to where I live here in Maryland. That said, this video earned my like as SOON as I heard that this entire park was built from the GOOGLE MAPS STREET VIEW of the park. The dedication and patience you need to build a park you've never been to, from a collection of pictures, is astonishing. Bravo to ThrillRides. I get to see a virtual version of a park I honestly should have visited numerous times, created in 17 months by someone else who's never been there. And I'm impressed.
Thanks ThrillRides for putting in the labor of love, and Channel5 for posting this video.

Oh this park was THE best part of my childhood and The Big Bad Wolf was my first ever roller coaster that got me into loving those rides instead of dreading them.
I was pretty sad and mad when it got shut down, along with The Curse of DarKastle, which was and is sadly WAY better than this recreation of it, sometime later, but now I live in Ohio.
One of the states that barely has a theme park worth mentioning that has rides that harshly jostles your brain in your skull and makes you loose your glasses(I am near sighted without them, so I had to see in blurry early in my and my family's visit there to when I had to buy a new pair DAYS later).
This makes me wish I was still living in Virginia, too be honest.

I know I’m super late to the party, but I wanted to pitch in my small comments about this. Busch Gardens is one of 2 theme parks 3 hours from home (both the closest). I went there the last year that big bad wolf was there. The attention to detail is stunning, I even looked through some old photos and compared, wow! I remember seeing commercials for the Griffon back in 2006/07 and this brings back memories!

That view of the Alpengeist on the first turn, seeing the cabin behind you splash down, the brief shot of the wooden coaster, the Alpengeist flipping and twirling overhead as you get back to the station... I gotta visit BG: Williamsburg for that ride alone! That's a true theme park experience, all in one ride

This was really well done. I grew up at this theme park, back when “the big bad wolf” and Drachen fire” coasters were still in operation. Its a walk down memory lane. The last coaster was and is the most iconic ride in the park for me. He did actually model it after an existing ride there. Its “escape from pompeii” A+ to the builder. He did this so well. I made a similar recreation of BG williamsburg in rct2 but is nothing compared to this

I see the " Squires Grill " ex-wife use to be a cashier there...NICE ! Highland Stables ? has a kiddie car ride ? don't have the clydesdales anymore ? I haven't been to BG for a few years as I move to Kansas. Use to live only 13 miles from BGW. Yes, there is a water park. " Water Country U.S.A. On the other side of I-64, yes, my ex-wife use to work there too.
Lochness Monster: I can't even begin to count how many times I have been on this coaster, but the recreation is spot on. Great job. I have watched the ( I think ) No Limits recreation and was disappointed at the helix. it was so dark onside the cave to even know you were on a helix.
Fest Haus: WOW...just like I remember it. Loved the " Hallow Scream " shows at the Fest Haus...I miss it a lot and hope to someday return at the appropriate time of year.
Dark Castle: Que seemed right , but honestly don't remember the stairs spiraling down. Dark Castle is a 3D ride. One of my most favorite rides at BGW. It is great fun for the entire family, from children to grand parents that cannot handle the extreme rides It does not have the 3D elements in this video, so I cannot give a review on it. But if you are ever to visit BGW, this is a MUST ride.
Alpengeist: Fairly spot on. I think it's about 99% accurate only because it missed the shack at the mid course brakes. Everything else is as I remember it.
InvadR: The quasi wooden coaster. Quasi because from what I understand is a wooden coaster with steel supports. or is it Wooden supports with steel track ? I can't remember, but it is not 100% wooden. Never been on it so I cannot comment to the accuracy.
Le Scoot Flog Flume: Hmmm, was not a ride I frequented, so I cannot really tell you if this is 100% accurate either. I just was never a big fan of water rides.
Griffon: Spot on ! Perfect recreation. I believe the height is 207 feet. or was it 205 and the Apollos Chariot was 207 ft. I can't remember.
"AIr Bolten " ??? Well, what is featured was called " The Big Bad Wolf " which is no longer there. It was too old and too costly for parts if they could find any. I twas a park favorite. What replaced it is " Verbolten " which is a very cool coaster in it's own right. It is a multi launch coaster which the first half is indoors and features a track drop and a second launch. The Big Bad Wolf recreation here seems 100% spot on. My favorite part of the entire ride was at the end braking..the suspended cars would sway back and forth while you were at a complete stop. I believe this is a 100% recreation, but then again, it's been 11 years since I last rode it before the park tore it down and replaced it.
Escape from Pompeii : Again, was never much of a water ride person, I think I had been on it once. Didn't really like the actual flames crawling across the ceiling...but if you are into that sort of thing, then I suppose you would think it was cool. The ride heats you and prepares you for the cool water splash.
What was not in this video:
Apollos Chariot. A B&M Hypercoaster. I believe it is 207 feet tall and features some incredible airtime. No inversions, but features a reverse helix that promptly whips you into a short dive then back up a short hill and then snaps you to the right. REALLY smooth coaster and also a BIG park favorite. Expect to stand in line for a while.
again, it's been a few years so I am going strictly by memory and I must say,it's a pretty accurate recreation.

The water park you mention is called Water Country USA. It's a sister park to Busch, but they're not connected so that wouldn't be here anyway. Only a few minutes drive between them though. Anyway, I love those two parks and this is a really great job, especially for them having done it on their own. Really interesting to see a bit of old and new. That is sad they couldn't fit festa but oh well. Still great job!

The Immallman (Im-mall-man) turn is the half loop, with the roll out. When you put two after each other, you get a 'Cuban eight' areobatic manouver.

Great park. He did an awesome job. Im currently working on a 1970's park. So I can only use coasters and rides from that era,,and man its killing me to not add a B&M coaster. All I have is a woodie, wild mouse and an arrow. Oh well next park I will add on to it and add 80's rides and so forth.
Hey Johnny,,you should make that a contest. Have us submit parks from certain eras using only the rides of that era.

I'm so glad someone made a re-creation of one of my favorite theme parks. I tried myself in RCT3 but I failed XD. Either way, this park is well done. Although, I am glad that Thomas included the Big Bad Wolf as it was my favorite coaster before they replaced it with verbolten (that just seems like a harder coaster to re-create)

Highland Stables has no ride, it's where the Clydesdales roam. New France = Canada. The ride you called Roman Rapids is Escape From Pompeii.

If you go to Germany you MUST visit Phantasialand in Brühl, just outside of Köln, I visited it in the summer and as a Canadian used to riding the same rides at Canadas Wonderland, it was amazing getting to experience Taron and Black Mamba. Hopefully you get to go some day

  • @autumnm772
    @autumnm772 5 лет назад

Also, a site that I use to help me keep up my German studies during the summer is Duolingo. The site will offer you a placement test or to just get started at basics. The learning tree is designed to build upon things previously learned. It also has a speaking component if you want to work on how the words are supposed to be said.

Although the layout is accurate, this doesn't do The Big Bad Wolf any justice. Riding it definitely felt faster and one of the most memorable parts is after the first drop when you nearly miss the houses during each turn. Felt like you were gonna crash right into the structures.

  • @cgltrey

Ok this is amazing and I’m only like 15 minutes in and I only see two mistakes and theyre not even huge it’s that the highland stables is not a ride it’s actually just a stables they have horses there and darcastle is different from the real ride (rip darcastle) ngl though the new one that Thomas made looks amazing. Also the ride where verbolten is is actually The big Bad Wolf. The big bad wolf was replaced by verbolten. And verbolten is a mostly inside launch coaster. This is coming from a Busch Gardens season pass holder. And there is no water park directly attached to Busch Gardens but water country USA has the same parent company and is like 15-30 min away from the park
