Basic introduction to the wire EDM and high-speed small hole EDM processes. Short, interesting video on the fundamentals of the electrical discharge machining process.
The shop I used to work at had one of these. I used to stay after work and use it for my own. You would be amazed at what you can make with one of these babies. My buddies were all into restoring old cars, and I would make parts for them. One was restoring an old Mercedes Coup. The NOS hood ornimate was $400! I made one identical to the original and charged him $20. Gun parts, clock gears, RC airplane propellers...you name it, I could make it (within reason)
I love videos like this that are clear, to the point, and interesting. This explanation was so visually helpful!
As an engineering student, youtube is just the perfect resource!
Thank you for making a clear exact video :)to the point no gibberish no crap only info necessary :)

years after I graduated college... i finally understand this process after watching this video. thanks a lot, $20K/year tuition
Great video, the concept is truly amazing.
Absolutely amazing machining process. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
Was finding the concept difficult, thanks for the help!
Very clear and detail explanation. Thanks alot
Thats my new job, the machine is Sodick.
This is an excellent explanation - thanks very much :)
Very helpful video. Thank you
Great video and explanation of this process :)
nice, this movie is very usefull I have to make one in school as my end project ofcourse not a big professional one but more basic
Thank you. Helps me a lot.
That's unique
amazing stuff
very good definition thanks for engineering....
"EDM stands for electrical discharge machining."
Nice try, guys. We all know EDM stands for electronic dance music.
/s
thanks! I now understand how it works
WOW
dammit man... tell me where to send my money already!
