  • I recently got my hands on one of the new silver sky SE. Since this guitar is basically a Stratocaster copy, I wanted to play something that was iconic to the Stratocaster. I couldn't see a better fit than basically anything the legendary David Gilmour did with pink Floyd. I ended up learning the 2nd solo from Comfortably Numb, which might be one of the greatest solos of all time. Hope you enjoy!
    Tuning: E A D G B E (443 hz)
Please note that I do not own any rights to the original music.
    Guitar: PRS Silver Sky SE
Amp sim: Neural DSP archetype Plini

0:56 to 1:15. The most fun section of this solo to play. When I used to play this solo that lick at 56 seconds always felt so good. You got me wanting to relearn some Gilmore solos now man. Beautiful playing

I'm getting the se for Christmas and it's going to be my first ever electric guitar I just want to know if you have any good amp recommendations cuz I don't know where to look and what to look for

It really depends on what type of sound you're looking for, your budget and the amount of power that you need. It's difficult to make a recommendation without these information :) Fender and VOX make good tube amp combos that works well with pedals so you could look into that. Boss Katana seems like a versatile amp but I never actually tried it myself. Modeler nowadays are also really good, so something like the Quad Cortex, Axe FX and Helix might be good options, but they cost a lot and don't have a power amp included. Probably not what you're looking for, but for high gain sounds, I really like the classic combo of a Peavey 5150 or 6505 with a Mesa Oversized cabinet. The best is to actually go into a music store and try them if that's possible.

Good stuff man! Amazing sound, came to hear the guitar, which I am considering buying especially to play this solo. In your opinion, is Fender holds its ground better in the solo?
