LOVEBITES - Rising lyrics: Failure or pride? The fear deep inside Success doesn't come with a few empty tries Fortune and fame, seem easy to claim But those who've succeeded defeated the pain Why give up on a life that you love? Play the game with no shame till the very end RISE AGAIN - though you're broken and scarred... You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again! DON'T LET GO - of what's deep in your heart You are free to fly, go and change your destiny! Too late to change? The past will remain But it's up to you to decide on a name Glory is not what miracles brought The path you have taken will lead you the way Why give up on a life that you love? Play the game with no shame till the very end LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights DON'T FORGET - that you've made it this far Show your scars with pride and believe your history... Sometimes we can't see the light anywhere Sometimes we don't have our luck in the air Almost like we've been left by ourselves I'm alone, you're alone, somewhere in the world But open your arms, look up and you will see an endless blue sky l believe, you believe, we will live out today So it leads to tomorrow! SOLO: midori / miyako / midori / miyako / both RISE AGAIN - though you're broken and scarred You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again DON'T LET GO - of what's deep in your heart You are free to fly, rise above your fate! LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights DON'T FORGET - that you've made it this far You are free to fly, go and change your destiny! ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) from Clockwork Immortality 2018
These women are special. Welcome to the party!!! You have plenty to see... Do some more it keeps getting better, any song will do it's all like this..; AWESOME.. Best wishes from France..
If you keep going, you will feel other old school bands or vibes in their music, even some that you don't currently anticipate too. But after a while you will stop naming these bands, because you will realize that they are actually unique to themselves. They present content familiar from the '80s, with top-notch songwriting proficiency and exceptional musicianship. Their new song Judgement Day has just been released and takes them to a whole new level. It is difficult to remain indifferent in this period of longing for good music.
Let's stop comparing them to this or that group because they are the best and they have proven for 6 years that they are the ones who should serve as a reference. I'm 70 years old and it's the best metal band I've ever known and far ahead of all the others.
@@professorandknowitall I wouldn't worry about making comparisons especially to NWOBHM bands that I grew up on. Miho, the founder of the band and the original bassist (she left the band in August, 2021) was and is a huge fan of Iron Maiden (as am I) and created a band to emulate the two guitar attacks of bands that began in that era. She also wanted a vocalist with soaring vocals who had experience singing in English since all song would have English lyrics. She found a great one in Asami. The two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, are currently one of the best guitar duos in metal but still shamefully overlooked in the west. The drummer, Haruna, is a machine and she was basically brought out of retirement by Miho (Haruna left music went she got married). Miho and Haruna were bandmates together in a legendary all female metal band called Destrose. A book could be written about Destrose and how former members went on to be part of so many bands.
These comparisons will definitely not be continuous tends to happen the first time we hear them. Love to see the passion for them, can’t wait to hear more.
@@professorandknowitall In early 2019, Miho and the rest of the band went to Download Japan even though Lovebites wasn't performing at the one-day festival. Miho saw Slayer which inspired her to start writing a song called Thunder Vengeance. It became the first track on their album Electric Pentagram and the opening song for the only two concerts they were able to perform in Japan in 2020. To me Thunder Vengeance, as well as The Hammer of Wrath, are the ultimate Miho songs. Even though the new bassist Fami is extraordinary, Miho will be missed because she is metal to the bone. Put Thunder Vengeance on the list if it is not already there - ruclips.net/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/видео.html
Wow, what a way to get introduced to Lovebites! Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 and dropped their first song, “Judgement Day” on December 22. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics, and cowrote the music for “Judgement Day” with Mao. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They recently announced their new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html; “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/G021aP2ao6Y/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

Its funny you bring up Mr Big because Paul Gilbert is pretty big (no pun intended) over there, to the point of speaking Japanese. He and Marty Friedman were fixtures for a while on metal and music related programs and Mr Big's "Daddy, Lover, Little Boy" song is basically an anthem over there. Myako, the dark haired guitarist play Dean, is a self taught guitarist and started learning from an instructional manual at 18. Part of her practice routine included learning songs by ear; songs by Paul Gilbert, Gary Moore, Dimebag Daryl and Kirk Hammett among others. In fact the 1st metal song she ever learned by ear was 'Master Of Puppets' (I remember being pumped just by learning 'Iron Man' lol). I think thats why her playing is so unique, becaus she has a mix of the shredding of Dime, technical brilliance of Gilbert, bluesiness of Moore and then throw in a little Hammett wah now and then.
Those are great guys to follow. I remember learning to play Daddy, Lover and Little boy and Holy Wars when I was a kid. That was my pinnacle 😂😂 My two favs are George Lynch and Alex Skolnick

I'm not reading through all the comments to see if these things were already mentioned, so excuse me if I repeat someone. The band is actually named after a Halestorm song, not a Def Leppard song. Also, what's in the water? Nothing different as far as I know. Instead, they still teach arts in school in Japan, unlike the U.S., where the arts have slowing been fading from the curriculum. Their lyrics are all positive, so no darkness for you. Finally, "Rising" isn't even close to being their best song. The usual starter song for them is "Holy War" (NOT a Megedeth cover), but I prefer "Thunder Vengeance." You can find live versions of both.
@professorandknowitall Thank u Gentlemen for reacting to LB, they've given me that feeling of exuberance again, similar to when first discovering Megadeth in the early 90s.
Yes, they started young on the piano, around the age of 3. They each (except the singer) gravitated to heavy metal as they grew up and the two guitarists switched to guitar at the ages of 18 and 20. The singer was an R&B and Soul singer before joining the band. If you thought this was amazing you HAVE to see their newest song, "Judgement Day" released on Dec 24, 2022. They are even BETTER now than what you just saw - all of them. Seriously, it will blow you away.
Its not the water, its culture and education, Japan puts a lot of importance in music as such their music education is really, really good and mandatory for a good few years, every japanese kid gets to be a musician there, plus there are a lot of extra-curricular music activities students can join, some of them highly competitive.
I would think that being in competitions against other musicians would create, Confidant, Thick-skinned, and Performance-oriented young musicians. Japanese culture has created a bumper crop of them - and an audience that wants to support them. They are very respected by the World music community too. It doesn't matter Where you are in the World, or what instrument you play, you know that there is a 10yo Japanese kid that can play rings around you🙂.
Well Miyako is a classical train pianist from age 3 who self taught guitar which she started at 18. Midori gave up dental school at 20 to enter an elite music academy for guitar. Asami the vocalist never sang metal till she joined the band, having been a R & B, Jazz and Soul singer who is a trained ballerina. Petite these women are exceptional especially LIVE. Haruna at 4' 9" behind that massive kit is a world class beast. They have a new bassist Fami a baby at 20 who is a phenomenal gifted artist like the rest of the band. There are many exceptional bands in Japan but LB is in a class by themselves
Welcome and thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites, LOVEBITES is the best metal band out (male or female),the talents and skills are so good, LOVEBITES ROCK
all of their songs are written with english lyrics other than one song from their first ep in 2017. the vocalist asami writes most of them and lived here the states for 2 years and learned the language . that is why they fit the music well. you have now discovered the hottest metal band from japan that writes all of their own music. they can go much harder and heavier and then flip 180 to power ballads. you must continue and hear the rest of what they have to offer and they will never let you down with any song you choose.
@@professorandknowitall you will be bombarded with links for many songs. after this song you may want to try one of their bangers- either 'set the world on fire' live which there is a link in one of the comments below or 'holy war' live from zeppdiver city tokyo. then you will see what they are really capable of. then 'edge of the world' for a ballad that does not stay a ballad : ruclips.net/video/UZjxMjBop7w/видео.html
Midori(G Those without black hair.) was introduced to the electric guitar while attending a well-known, top-ranked Japanese pharmaceutical university. She enrolled in the music school MI JAPAN Osaka to become a guitarist and dropped out of pharmacy school. Midori likes to play tricky, outlandish phrases. Guitar kids say, "What the heck!" Midori says in an interview.
And yes, guitarists and keyboardist Miyako started classical piano at age three, when she was 18 she picked up guitar and taught herself , The other guitarist Midori also played piano, when she dropped out of university at age 20 she went to the musical institute in Osaka and was trained on guitars. M&M are one of the best guitarist in metal music today! 🤟🎸🔥
Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Some of their songs are uplifting, with a motivational message. Unfortunately Miho (bass) left the band last year, but a few weeks ago the band announced the new bass player, Fami; so now they’re ready to set the world on fire. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “Set the world on fire”, “The awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Above the Black Sea”, “Under the red sky”, “Scream for me”, “Shadowmaker”, “When destinies align”, “Raise some hell”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”, Chopin Etude + Swan song”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “Glory to the world”, “Frozen serenade”. Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Grew up with 70s Metal Zepp,Priest, Sabbath Lovebitess is by far my favorite Swan song with Chopin intro or any song won’t disappoint just do live for the best experience
Next, new song Judgement Day, live songs Raise Some Hell, Break The Wall, The Hammer Of Wrath, Holy War, Scream For Me, When Destinies Align(MV/LIVE), Shadow Maker(MV/LIVE), Glory Of Love(MV/LIVE), and cover song Pain Killer(Judas Priest)
@@professorandknowitall shadowmaker is a must, live at zepp divercity tokyo 2020..and other stuffs like break the wall, under the red sky, today is the day, warning shot and many many more....
Great react guys, you mentioned liking darker metal. Please try out Set The World On Fire live ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html, one of their killer thrash metal tracks with an ominous beginning. They don't set the world on fire, they F napalm it in this one! Elite level thrash if you ask me, and I grew up listening to the Big 4, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel, etc.
Love this band! I recommend you keep going with them. They're amazing. If you want face melting solos try Set the World on Fire and Break the wall, both live. If you want to see Asami belting E5s and F5s over and over, try Holy War, live at Zepp. If you want relentless, energetic, and in your face, try Thunder Vengeance, live at Zepp (the show opener). If you'd like to see what a virtuoso Miyako is (guitarist stage left), try Swan Song (with the Chopin intro). If you'd like more of that, try Frozen Serenade. If you want more of a ballad-like opening, try Edge of the World, for a little different delivery from Asami. If you want one of the best 80s rock songs never to have actually been released in the 80s, try Empty Daydream. And the list could go on and on. Absolutely amazing band.
I like to request another song from them called Hammer of wrath, pick the live one, its aways more amazing see they playing. Normaly this song came with the oppening called The awakening.
congrats for having discovered this incredible band. founded in 2016, interupted by a one and a half year hiatus (bassplayer left, baby, marriage, covid) they have out three albums (fourth is coming february 2023), four EPs and four live blurays and a best of. all about around fifty songs. and what really sets them apart from any! other band: not a single stale, bad or medium song amongst them. their composing skills equal their musician skill and charismatic stage performance. they are inspired by all the good stuff from earlier (iron maiden, judas priest, helloween, metallica, slayer, sepultura etc.) and mix that with modern sounds and techniques and classical influences. they do not just play power metal, but also a really mean thrash (try "set the world on fire" live tokyo 2021), symphonic and prog metal style. coming out of their hiatus in december 2022 with a new bassplayer, they are now better, faster, fitter and stronger than ever. unbelieveable. check out their new video "judgement day". thanks for your appreciation and reaction.
Lovebites has a unique history. These ladies are so talented and dedicated to metal music that they composed and play various genres of metal. Bright & clean in appearance with meaningful, motivated, uplifting lyrics. No dark black dress and evil'ish lyrics. They got almost 50 songs since 2016 (all damn good) and a new album (+10) in coming February. Try out all their songs and you'll be amazed..trust me. Great reaction guys👍👍🤘🤘
Mastering an instrument requires hard work, focus, and commitment. It begins in Japan’s schools where children are taught that accomplishment is the product of hard work, not innate ability. To put it another way, parents never say, “I wasn’t good at math, so don’t worry about your assignments.” MIYAKO began studying piano as a tot. She didn’t pick up guitar until she was a teenager. BTW, this is a C-level LOVEBITES song. Try the live videos BREAK THE WALL, SET THE WORLD ON FIRE, RAISE SOME HELL, and SWAN SONG (with Chopin intro), or their latest MV, JUDGEMENT DAY.
Asami (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer. She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension. To get an idea of Asami's true vocal talent in R&B and Soul, check out. See 3E Song ("Edge of the World", "EPILOGUE", "Empty Daydream" all live) or the acoustic version of LOVEBITES "Rising" by Asami (Vo) & Miyako (Gt Black hair). RUclipsChannel "beautiful night" "LOVEBITES Asami&Miyako [Riging] Acoustic" I love the rhythm and sound choice of Miyako's piano interlude. Asami has been studying classical ballet since she was 2 years old. "Swan Song" live on stage. As Miyako's piano starts the ending, Asami dances the "Dying Swan". Miyako started taking piano lessons at the age of 3. At the age of 18, she discovered the electric guitar. Miyako was inquisitive and dexterous in everything she did, so she taught herself with a lesson book, and here she is today. Therefore, Miyako is original in the use of her left fingers. Miyako is good at tapping because she has been able to train the fingers of both hands on the piano. There are several other songs that Miyako composed inspired by classical music, such as the fusion of metal and classical music incorporated in the intro. "Empty Daydream" (Live in Tokyo 2019) is by Sergei Rachmaninoff (Rachmaninov) "Moments Musicaux Op.16 No4" is incorporated into the intro. The "Empty Daydream Live in Tokyo 2019" song has the feel of Michael Jackson's "Beat It". The song was performed at the time by JENNIFER BATTEN, one of Miyako's top 5 favorite guitar heroes. P.S. Your reactions are very good and I hope you will continue to LOVEBITES.
Haruna (Dr) started learning to play the drums at the age of 13. He became obsessed with metal after seeing a heavy metal bant at a local live music club. Until then, he had never heard a 2-bass drummer play and was shocked. At the time, he was too small in height to play a 2-bass drum, so he bought a twin pedal. 5+ minute fast two-bass and various effect cymbals are Haruna's specialty. Haruna wants people to think he is a man playing those drums. At the time, Haruna told the interviewer that "The Crusade" is the most intense song on the album, so he always gets into it before playing it so that he can keep the beat until the end. However, the new LOVEBITES song "Judgment Day" is Haruna's best performance yet. Listen to "JUDGEMENT DAY" and you will be shocked. Haruna's favorite band is "Helloween". LOVEBITES covered "Eagle Fly Free" in a studio live performance during the period when they could not play live with an audience due to Covid19. The pentagram on the Haruna drum is not a Western pentagram. The pentagram is surrounded by a wolf representing the five girls. In Japan, the five elements of yin and yang, which became the basic concept of Yin-Yang Tao, or the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, expressed their conflicting functions, and the pentagram was valued as a talisman to ward off all kinds of evil. Thus, the pentagram represents the protection of these women.
On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after their leader, bassist Miho, left the group. The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from the public from all over the world and recruited a new bassist named Fami. "JUDGEMENT DAY" is the first song from the long rest. "JUDGEMENT DAY" proves that LOVEBITES is back in full force and justifies the adoption of Fami. You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast finger picking. If you watch "Alien Alien" on her RUclips channel, which was uploaded 4 years ago with 10,470,000 listens on her content, you will be amazed at her world-class slapping skills. With the addition of new bassist Fami, the trio Harmony Shredder has become a reality. Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing, and play, and boasts 669,000 RUclips subscribers. Fami is 20 years old with a cute smile. Fami will turn 21 on 1 June 2023.
good reaction, but IMO this isn't the best song to introduce Lovebites, plus the live from 2019 was partially blocked. If there is another chance, I recommend you to react Holy War, Swan Song, Set The World Of Fire *btw They uploaded the new MV called Judgement Day Thanks
No , Named after the Halestorm song. The singer Asami auditioned for the band singing that song. The rest of the band loved it so much they named the song after it. Note also Asami went on to sing with Lizzy Hale on their tour promoting the band.
One of their guitarists, Miyako, is a world class concert pianist who started playing piano at age 3. As for what’s happening in Japan, it’s due to their culture where women have been relegated to entertainment while the men are slaves to the corporate world. Add in a heaping measure of government sponsored music training in the school system and you end up producing a ton of world class female rock bands, of which Lovebites are at the very top. Lovebites’ music catalog does include come very heavy pieces with top notch musicianship.❤
If you want to see what a 3 y.o. violin player is doing with her skills now, check out "ZCover】Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun (Violin Cover) " ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=unlucky+morpheous+violin+cover. (I actually paused your vid and made this comment just before you mentioned Yngwie...LOL) This is not what you think. Every member of this badass rock band is awesome, featuring Jill shredding on the violin, dressed like a Gothic Alice In Wonderland. They come out hot, right out of the gate. Each member has a short solo within the song, a common theme in many Japanese bands. Jill is known by her fellow band members as "A Wild Child". I have watched this video at least 30 times.
Most of them (Asians from various countries) start with classical music on the piano and violin, like you say at age 3. Then my guess is they say "Fuck this, this is boring. I've got skills now, time to ROCK!" If you're into drummers, there is YOYOKA who started at age 1.5 y.o, drumming IN A BIB (before she could speak), claims her first language to be "music". Made the Drummerworld TOP 500 OF ALL TIME at age 11 (youngest ever)! She convinced her parents to quit their jobs and move to the U.S. (Oakland, CA) to pursue her music "career". This is an older video that was her first viral video, praised by many Rock Legends in bands of the era. " Good Times Bad Times - LED ZEPPELIN / Cover by Yoyoka , 8 year old " ruclips.net/video/91pz1E8pAOY/видео.html At this time she was already teaching the double slide technique on her bass, and saying to her "students", "Now pay attention!" Has 8 endorsement deals, most "youngest ever" to sign (OK, she probably had to "print" her name). Done Nike, Nissan, Moncler, Uniglo commercials, and has MASSIVE list of accomplishments, which most of us have not been able to do in our whole lives.
Some Japanese bands, old and new. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Break the Wall, Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], DEXCORE [Earthworm], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], LONESOME_BLUE [Face the Fear], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], TRiDENT [Ambivalent, Spoopy, ...], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINARU [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], MERGINGMOON [Greyen], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], JILUKA [Mephisto], BROKEN BY THE SCREAM [Emotion Cross-Counter], FATE GEAR [Unbreakable Wings], LYNCH [Devil], GACHARIC SPIN [Mindset], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], DEVILOOF [Torture], JUPITER [My Enemy], NOKUTO [Life of Desire], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], SAISEIGA [Ride On], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Hypnosis], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], JILUKA [Lluvia], HANABIE [We Love Sweets], A CROWD OF REBELLION [Re:Create of the Re:d], PALEDUSK [Area PD], POLKADOT STINGRAY [any song], MUTANT MONSTERS [Abnormal], BLACKLAB [Insanity], ASTERISM [Rising Moon, or Church], NOISEMAKER [Hunter or Prey], BiSH [The Night When Stars Twinkle], SCANDAL [A.M.D.K.J.], DEEP GIRL [I kill], Mrs. GREEN APPLE [Inferno], BRATS [Doudatte Yokatta], THE ORAL CIGARETTES [Frenzy Hey Kids!!], GIRUGAMESH [Drain], LiLiHoLi [From Darkness to Light], THE DEVIL’S KILLING MERRY-GO-ROUND [Diabolos], and many many more...
And you're correct, most of their music is not like this, it's much better! Their most epic song, imo, is their newly released "Judgement Day" ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html Besides the epic shredding of both guitarists, and all the other members, pay attention to how ripped the guitarist on the left (Midori) is. She also has the most awesome power stance. I always call her "A Warrior Princess"!
Hopefully you'll be looking at everything that Lovebites have produced. But if you want a break, bearing in mind you've watched a song called 'Rising;, I guess the song 'Rising Moon' by Asterism might be an appropriate interlude. There an instrumental trio with guitar (lady), bass and drums (a couple of brothers). The video is 5 years old, although the band members are still only 20 to 22. Apparently they wrote this when Hal-Ca (the guitarist) was 12. ruclips.net/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/видео.html
There are many impressive musicians who start early. Midori the Blondish one started playing at 18 and Miyako the Piano girl started at 16 or 17 on guitar. However Miyako is a Classically trained pianist starting early at 3/4/5 I believe. Midori went too the World Class ESP/GIT and graduated on guitar as a teacher and Miyako taught herself guitar pretty much from her late teens. They are a really cool story. The whole band is lights out and nonstop.
Another great reaction guys. Their skills are off the charts. I’m not a huge fan of the operatic style of singing but the music is phenomenal. Another incredible band you should check out is Unleash The Archers. They are from Vancouver and signed to Napalm Records. I recommend their full band play through of “Awakening” 😎🤘🏻
The biggest mistakes many Reactors make are: 1. It is stupid, at least, to compare a new band for yourself (about which you know nothing) with other bands. Especially to draw a conclusion on one song.🤔 2. Turn from an attentive viewer who wants to really feel the song into a "sports commentator". The brain is arranged in such a way that a person cannot fully analyze the information coming into it (audio, video) and speak SIMULTANEOUSLY. When you listen (look) for the FIRST time to a song and talk at the same time, then inevitably some of the information passes by. Alas, one of you (without a cap) was chatting and turning his head for almost the entire song. When you both started talking during the guitar solos.....!!!! - it generally spoiled the whole impression of your reaction. Plus beer.... Consider that 50% of the song flew past your ears (arrangements, etc.).🤗 * This is your channel, you have the right to do what you want. Nothing personal. This is not criticism. This is my observation of your reaction. My impression of your reaction : I'm sorry, but you were very inattentive to one of the best metal bands (this is not only my opinion) in the world today . ** I wonder why immediately DEF LEPPARD? And not JUDAS PRIEST or HALESTORM? These bands also have the song "Love Bites"😊
We respect your review of our reaction. Our intent here is to have fun and promote bands. We are not “Reviewing” bands, nor are we drawing conclusions. We want our reactions to be real and not staged. Therefore we may miss things, but we always add the songs to our playlists and dive deeper after. We realize that many of the people who come to see this reaction are already fans of the group. We also understand that we know nothing about most of the groups and this is a journey that this channel allows us to share with others. (I believe most viewers understand this, barring a few of course) At this stage of our channel we are simply trying to get as much exposure to these groups as possible and then continue with each that are our favorites. We are here to give people a snippet of what these groups are capable of and make them look for more about the band. This is a journey we hope our viewers would take with us. We are not always right nor do we try to be, this is purely a labor of love that we hope benefits some of the bands that we have been introduced to on this channel. As we grow, I believe it will. Especially, smaller bands that we want to introduce to the fans of other bands. As far as our comparisons and and the last comment about the LoveBites name. We both have our favorite genres and also may draw from different influences in our life. They may not be the most accurate nor the most popular, but they are ours and authentic. I don’t know what the “beer” comment was about please enlighten me. Things we can do better, in my humble opinion. 1. I am a guitarist and love the solos (. Turning my head doesn’t prevent me from hearing) I have listened to these solos 20+ times since this video. We typically do keep quiet during the solos, but for whatever reason we felt the need to express how good they were. 2. We need to tell people to look for the link to the band in the video description. We want people to listen beyond our show. We will do better here. 3. Maybe explain to people here that we don’t script our show or listen to these prior like most channels do.
@@professorandknowitall "Beer..." I meant the use of various drinks. Some Reactors start drinking tea /coffee /cola during the reaction. It seems that as soon as they started watching the video, they immediately strongly wanted to drink tea (coffee, cola, etc.). Not earlier, not later. There are Reactors that do this during each of their reactions.🤫 The point behind the reactions that have become so popular on RUclips over the past few years is for the viewers of the channel to see the real emotions of the Reactors. The reactor looks + listens to what he sees + hears for the first time. Anything that at least slightly distracts the Reactors from careful viewing does not allow the Reactor to receive the "full amount" of information (video, audio). This also affects his reaction (emotions). As experts in the field of human communications say: - "The first impression cannot be made twice." I have seen many times how various Reactors get distracted during reactions : various drinks, cats / dogs, reading chat during the stream (stream with analysis of songs of various bands), talking with a friend (relative) or the Reactor comments on what he sees at a given second ( as a sports commentator), etc. If a person is distracted many times during the reaction (while the song and video continue), then it turns out that such a reaction is "not full". The reaction may be sincere, but not of high quality. Paradox. * Some information for you. Perhaps this will be of interest to you. - Heavy metal band LOVEBITES are named after the song "Love Bites (So Do I)" by HALESTORM. - LOVEBITES recorded about 50 original songs + 3 covers of famous bands. One of the covers of the song "Love Bites (So Do I)" (HALESTORM). - Asami (LOVEBITES lead vocals) performed "Love Bites (So Do I)" with HALESTORM at Download Festival in Japan (March 2019) and Download Festival in UK (June 2019) - LOVEBITES were the opening act for the HALESTORM concert in Tokyo (December 2019). - In 2018 LOVEBITES received the prestigious GOLDEN GODS Metal Hammer Award (London). They received it less than 2 years after their formation. - In 2018, LOVEBITES were invited to perform at the largest heavy music festival in the world, Wacken Open Air (Germany). They became the first Japanese all-female band to perform at this festival in the entire history of the festival (as of 2018). - LOVEBITES third studio album "Electric Pentagram" (2020) was included in the Top 20 Best Metal Albums of 2020 by Metal Hammer. - The "Glory, Glory, to the World" ( EP, 2021) was nominated for the 2021 Global Metal Apocalypse Award as "Global Metal Release of the Year" and placed 2nd. This is very briefly about the band. There are 3 all-female bands with the same name ( Just in case you decide to continue exploring the heavy metal band LOVEBITES) : 1. LOVEBITES (spelled together) Japan heavy metal band. This band you reacted to . 2. LOVE BITES (Japan) punk band. 3. LOVE BITES (Great Britain) punk band. These bands are very different from each other in appearance and music. I wish you good luck with your channel😊
We have been trying new stuff here and there with our methods. Thanks for the feedback as well as all of the information. We will definitely be doing more LoveBites very soon.
CHIANT ! CHIANT !
Thank you so much for your kind reaction! 😊
Lovebites = excellence. It is as simple as that. 😊

LOVEBITES - Rising lyrics:
Failure or pride? The fear deep inside
Success doesn't come with a few empty tries
Fortune and fame, seem easy to claim
But those who've succeeded defeated the pain
Why give up on a life that you love?
Play the game with no shame till the very end
RISE AGAIN - though you're broken and scarred...
You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again!
DON'T LET GO - of what's deep in your heart
You are free to fly, go and change your destiny!
Too late to change? The past will remain
But it's up to you to decide on a name
Glory is not what miracles brought
The path you have taken will lead you the way
Why give up on a life that you love?
Play the game with no shame till the very end
LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart
Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights
DON'T FORGET - that you've made it this far
Show your scars with pride and believe your history...
Sometimes we can't see the light anywhere
Sometimes we don't have our luck in the air
Almost like we've been left by ourselves
I'm alone, you're alone, somewhere in the world
But open your arms, look up and you will see an endless blue sky
l believe, you believe, we will live out today
So it leads to tomorrow!
SOLO: midori / miyako / midori / miyako / both
RISE AGAIN - though you're broken and scarred
You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again
DON'T LET GO - of what's deep in your heart
You are free to fly, rise above your fate!
LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart
Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights
DON'T FORGET - that you've made it this far
You are free to fly, go and change your destiny!

I got you. Just a point of comparison for viewers.
That’s awesome. Thanks
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html;
“Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
"Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

And no, the band is not named after the Def Leppard song, but by the song “Love Bites, and so do i! from rock band Halestorm
This is epic resurection of Ladies with new bassist.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites
Thank you so much for the information. We will get digging! Please feel free to share our video.
We will be doing much much more!!
We are on it! Can’t wait for more!
A few years back I never listened to any Japanese Metal...right now 2 outta 3 of my favourite bands are Japanese with Lovebites leading the way. 🐺
We are quickly headed in the same direction. The talent pool and incubation of talent just seems to be way ahead of everywhere else
@professorandknowitall Thank u Gentlemen for reacting to LB, they've given me that feeling of exuberance again, similar to when first discovering Megadeth in the early 90s.
It’s really hard to find that feeling again. Lately, it’s been happening a lot! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘...All Mine! I don't want to share
😂😂😂
It’s almost like they care about a well rounded education! Novel though!?
Next LoveBites song: “Break The Wall” Live! 🎸🔥🤘
My favourite, if I was forced to chose one. I tear up when they hand over the guitar solos.
Actually the band's name came from Halestorm's Love Bites (And so do I) song.
Welcome and thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites, LOVEBITES is the best metal band out (male or female),the talents and skills are so good, LOVEBITES ROCK
Agreed and we will continue!!
all of their songs are written with english lyrics other than one song from their first ep in 2017. the vocalist asami writes most of them and lived here the states for 2 years and learned the language . that is why they fit the music well. you have now discovered the hottest metal band from japan that writes all of their own music. they can go much harder and heavier and then flip 180 to power ballads. you must continue and hear the rest of what they have to offer and they will never let you down with any song you choose.
Oh we will be digging deep into LoveBites. We can’t wait for more!
Guitar kids say, "What the heck!" Midori says in an interview.
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal.
🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
And yes, guitarists and keyboardist Miyako started classical piano at age three, when she was 18 she picked up guitar and taught herself , The other guitarist Midori also played piano, when she dropped out of university at age 20 she went to the musical institute in Osaka and was trained on guitars.
M&M are one of the best guitarist in metal music today! 🤟🎸🔥
LoveBites was named after the Halestorm song " Lovebites " ( so do I ). For something darker & thrashy, try " Set the World on Fire." ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘

Not to forget Asami sang the song Lovebites live on stage with Halestorm!!
Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em. A LOT!!!
Same here! Unbelievable talent! We can’t wait to hear more
If you want darker metal by Lovebites then do - Set the World on Fire, Break the Wall, The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath, or Judgement Day.
🫡
It's hard for them to be "darker", they might be the 51st shade of gray though 🙃
Grew up with 70s Metal Zepp,Priest, Sabbath Lovebitess is by far my favorite Swan song with Chopin intro or any song won’t disappoint just do live for the best experience
Yeah, we are doing their newest next and then a ton of the live videos recommended today.
Their latest stuffs is ur answers..judgment day music videos...

We are on it🤘🏻
I like to request another song from them called Hammer of wrath, pick the live one, its aways more amazing see they playing.

We are on it and sounds like the right time to pick it out them up!
Everything from Lovebites will amaze !..
You have to pass to the next steps of Lovebites: Set the World on fire and then Chopin Etude+Swan song. Thank you.
On it!
Lovebites is named after Halestorm song Love Bites (and so do I)

Asami (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer.
She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension.
To get an idea of Asami's true vocal talent in R&B and Soul, check out.
See 3E Song ("Edge of the World", "EPILOGUE", "Empty Daydream" all live) or the acoustic version of LOVEBITES "Rising" by Asami (Vo) & Miyako (Gt Black hair).

"LOVEBITES Asami&Miyako [Riging] Acoustic"
I love the rhythm and sound choice of Miyako's piano interlude.
"Empty Daydream" (Live in Tokyo 2019) is by
Sergei Rachmaninoff (Rachmaninov)
"Moments Musicaux Op.16 No4" is incorporated into the intro.
Wow Thanks for all the info
LOVEBITES RULES!!!
I love Stryper - nice comparison! Michael Sweet is awesome.
I actually met them in person when I was 12 at PTL. Crazy!
If there is another chance, I recommend you to react Holy War, Swan Song, Set The World Of Fire
*btw They uploaded the new MV called Judgement Day
Thanks
Judgement Day is next! We will definitely be doing more! As long as you guys want them!
No , Named after the Halestorm song. The singer Asami auditioned for the band singing that song. The rest of the band loved it so much they named the song after it. Note also Asami went on to sing with Lizzy Hale on their tour promoting the band.
You guys are late to the party. Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
We’ll catch up! Just glad we made it😂🤘🏻
😁
Miho Miho Miho!
We can’t wait!
HARUNAAAAA

It's 7 years of bad luck if you talk over or pause a Midori/Miyako solo! 😉
We heard! Never again! 😂😂
I think we need to hit everything!!

The biggest mistakes many Reactors make are:
1. It is stupid, at least, to compare a new band for yourself (about which you know nothing) with other bands. Especially to draw a conclusion on one song.🤔
2. Consider that 50% of the song flew past your ears (arrangements, etc.).🤗
* This is your channel, you have the right to do what you want.
There are Reactors that do this during each of their reactions.🤫
The point behind the reactions that have become so popular on RUclips over the past few years is for the viewers of the channel to see the real emotions of the Reactors. The reactor looks + listens to what he sees + hears for the first time.
Anything that at least slightly distracts the Reactors from careful viewing does not allow the Reactor to receive the "full amount" of information (video, audio). This also affects his reaction (emotions). As experts in the field of human communications say: - "The first impression cannot be made twice."
I have seen many times how various Reactors get distracted during reactions : various drinks, cats / dogs, reading chat during the stream (stream with analysis of songs of various bands), talking with a friend (relative) or the Reactor comments on what he sees at a given second ( as a sports commentator), etc. If a person is distracted many times during the reaction (while the song and video continue), then it turns out that such a reaction is "not full". The reaction may be sincere, but not of high quality. Paradox.
