For 20 yrs now I’ve enjoyed a leather steering wheel, but 5 yrs ago when we started driving the Alcantera in our 997.2 GT3, it changes our minds. My wife & I love it. …. Different strokes!

@@PorscheClubofAmerica very true. But it is a synthetic (polyester and polyamide) not a natural cow hide type suede) and there are also some good methods to clean & restore. Covering those might also be a good segment on your channel?!!

he was a respectful 9 out of 10 test driver considering this car is a GT2 with it's high value, as i'm an owner of a black techart 9972 4wd.turbo with similar power range 5-550hp. but he could have easily given it 5500rpm in more than just one gear, this would have been fine even with the owner. his 8.5 fun factor score i thought was a little light as they are definitely a 9 being a 6sp.manual & not the pdk.
However i give him big Kudos for the respect shown while in the car, as i have experienced warrant of fitness road testing of my car at a very lenghty 15 mins on one occasion way over the 5-6minutes needed as they do in nz..happy porsching.😎

its crazy to sit at a redlight in a GT2 with the clutch pressed in in first gear. Your throw out bearing will be toast soon!
No Go. (even says the clutch is stiff but continues to keep it pressed) ugh. as a Porsche mechanic Im saying just dont sit there when stopped and continue to keep the clutch pedal pressed for such a long time. Your clutch and throw out bearing will thank you..
