- Briefing by Ms. Edem Wosornu, Director of Operations and Advocacy, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.
OCHA’s Director of the Operations and Advocacy Division, Edem Wosornu, told the Council that it was “impossible to accept the people endeavouring to save lives are instead losing their lives, particularly as 1.1 million people face catastrophic levels of hunger, and Gaza remains on the brink of famine.”
As of 18 may, she said, “just 10 bakeries are operational out of a total of 16 being supported by our humanitarian partners and added that “it is expected that these will run out of stock and fuel within days if no additional supplies are received.”
The other six bakeries, she said, “have been forced to cease operation due to either shortages of fuel or because of ongoing hostilities.”
Last week a staff member of the UN Department of Safety and Security from India died and another staff member was injured when their UN vehicle was struck as they travelled to the European Hospital in the area of Rafah. This brings to a total 193 UN staff who have been killed in Gaza since the start of hostilities.

Get to know your true self. Sometimes in the chaos of pleasing others, keeping up with new developments in modern culture, trying to project a cool image on social media, and maintaining a serious, ambitious persona at our job, we lose track of who we really are. Energy that makes us uniquely us arises from our soul and doesn’t care a bit about the whims of modern culture or fitting in. When we feel we “have to get our head together,” it’s a clear clue that we’ve lost our connection with our vital, purposive soul energy.
What do I believe when I am alone and quiet and peaceful? How do I feel? What do I like? Who do I love? Who am I? If we don’t spend some time reflecting on these questions, and insist on living a life that is not consistent with our soul’s values, trouble ensues. Headaches. Body aches. Boredom. Trouble sleeping. Fits of temper about having to once again pretend to be someone fake or false. By asking ourselves these questions, we begin to reintegrate with our inner self, our true self. I hope the city of Paderborn gets money from the staat for the large damage ,the people of paderborn.the problem ,the court house and the mental hospital .. wrong medication is a large problem in this town. the poor victims. please finally justice and freedom. help
