Detection is a great first step to an automated response action. If this could tie into auto-closing, locking doors and possibly extend to something like a tear-gas system or sonic cannon, this would be absolutely invaluable in many settings.
Exactly, and maybe paired with something like a swarm of Anduril Anvils that can intercept and distract the active shooter by flying into them. We need to invest in stuff like this instead of pandering to voter bases, both sides would win because lives would be saved!
It’s all about money for schools. They would put in a bunch of funding for security but will they have enough for the other systems

I see they can detect long arms but can they detect small arms which is my question

I can see this going wrong in so many ways it is a great first step, what happens when it’s kids with toy weapons? Is this going to be called in as an active shooter and where in the process of detection is the human element?
It’s going to be called a false alarm.
How well can you detect concealed weapons? What if the shooter keeps the gun in his backpack?
Every considered just having some gun restrictions?
Gun restrictions already exist in sensitive areas. They are are only enforced proactively in a tiny percentage of cases, such as airports and courts.
Also, this private organization making this marketing video does not have the power to make restrictions.

We already have the biggest restriction you can have. Don’t murder, it’s not working. This will allow you to respond faster, but not faster than an armed citizens already there. They pulled a gun out to use it, not to walk around displaying it. they need to lift restrictions, that’s how you save lives. Just look at examples of the mass shootings that were stopped this year in 2022. The proof is there, people just want to ignore it. Just let the people who can protect themselves do so.
Guns are already prohibited in schools. As you can see, gun restrictions are very effective. That's sarcasm, if you didn't catch on. Gun restrictions don't work. Just ask Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City.
Arm the AI with tranquilizers. Perpetrators man be wearing combat gear, so may need some other method like tazer type device.
