Richie Sambora does not get enough acknowledgment for being such a badass guitarist and singer!! Richie and Jon sound amazing together. I wish Richie had never left. The group hasn't been the same since he's been gone. This is a great song and they put on such an Incredible live show!
Richie Sambora never got the credit he deserved for his singing. Back in the early '90s I was a rep for music distributor and at one of our conventions, I got a tape of his solo album. Every song on it is great, especially "Father Time", "Mr. Blues Man" and "Stranger In This Town". The whole album was blues.
I've been listening to this quite a bit lately. I still get a wonderful emotional reaction to it. Jon is wonderful, and I absolutely love Richie's voice. There's definitely something captivating about a great guitar player.
From the "Keep the Faith" album from 1992, this song came at a critical point in Bon Jovi's career releasing a new level of emotional depth and maturity in their music. A powerful epic ballad featuring acoustic and electric guitars, strings, percussion and keyboards producing this rich layered song. Powerful lyrics and an emotive melody took this song to Number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100's. Great reaction Harri, glad you're feeling better. 😊 Thanks Harri and Carol. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
One of their best. Jon saw the wedding couples from hotel room windows. And he thought of his wife. He asked the hotel for a piano in his room but didn't finished it. When he back home he played it to his friend and he said you had to finish it. Now it's the sweetest song he wrote. I'm lucky for hearing it myself twice in his concert. And yeah he cut his long hair he looked so good in that hair.😍🤩 And his hair style always be the best.

He's signing about his passion for music which his mistress and how it keeps him away from his true love who is his wife. The blond in his bed is his guitar.
No, the blond in his bed was not his guitar. He said so. On several occasions he would say, “I was no angel,” of himself in his touring days. The band toured for years, and he was away from home for months at a time while his wife was at home raising their four children.
And Richie's backing vocals are outstanding too.
