This video is purely dedicated to the Maestro Juan Manuel Cañizares.
Back in July 18, 2023 I attended Cañizares's concert for the first time here in Japan. After the concert I was so touched by every single piece he played, his compositions and a few classics like this one. I learned more than I ever could have imagined just by observing his performance.
I learned how patience, and focus/concentration really looks like for the first time. He played for about 2 hours, he could take up 1 min, or 6 minutes to tune a single string between pieces and that by itself is a lesson about staying calm. Despite a full house grand theater, he will not start until he is a 100% ready to.
On another note, every time there is a scale I expected him to go crazy with his picados but instead, you can see a deep breath and a perfectly clean scale at perhaps only 50% of his true capacity. I'm not exaggerating when I say he didn't miss a single note in his entire 2 hour-Live concert.
It was breathtaking and I want to see more, there is just so much to learn.
Recently there was a podcast released on Pituquete's channel, they talk for a full 1 Hour and it confirmed everything I witnessed in this concert.
Please take a look when you have some time, it's literally like a free masterclass:

Muy bien tocado, Maestro! I commented something similar on Pitus channel after watching the Cañizares interview. It was one of the best flamenco guitar interviews I've ever seen. That whole hour felt life changing so much so that I had to rewatch it a couple of times. Practicising and playing without any tension and making sure each note is as it should be before increasing speed were the paramount take aways. It's easy to say but Cañizares really transmited those points over and over again.

I love this version you made, which is more "libre" and I guess, more harmonized 😊

Thank you Brian. I completely agree. Since I had watched his performance very recently I already had all those "lessons" in my mind. Then watching the podcast I confirmed everything I saw was truly all calculated and thought out. Being this calm and focused in your playing is something much more difficult to be done than said. I have always had so much respect for Cañizares, but after you watch him live it's truly another story.

@@LucianoGhosn He exudes humility and tranquility and never wastes his words. A lesson for all of us. I remember being totally mesmerised seeing him play live 25 years ago. Felt like I was watching something from another universe.

    Luciano, good job. 👍
For the audience. The Cañizares´ performance of ADAGIO addressed at the end of your video is in:
    ruclips.net/video/TAuzv_lyluw/видео.html
An extraordinary ADAGIO performance by Michael Christian starting in A-minor instead of B-minor is in:
    ruclips.net/video/knZyzhMNeP0/видео.html (>1 Million visits).
This is a guitar solo arrangement.
For me, the A-minor arrangement gives more rich content in the basses for the solo guitar case.
Most of ADAGIO performances (Even Paco de Lucia) star in B-minor assuming the orchestra intervention.
    I like know your opinion.
