''She too is killed, despite her valiant attempt to hide in a chair.' That really made me chuckle. Hilarious review as always.
Idiot! Hide behind the chair. He'll never see you then!
And the director was a woman. Sisters are doin' it for themselves?
Made me laugh too. Also, when my man said "Cut the crap, fart breath !" LoL
I thought this movie was going to be about someone forgetting to cancel their Amazon Prime membership after the free trial period... Now that's a real horror story...
They extended my free trial period when I told them I was going to cancel.
The sequel is never as good
"The priest is bulletproof, but Satan can be STABBED?" I lost it when that happened.
Well, to be fair in a far better movie"The Devil's Bride" (1968) Satan can be expelled just b saying an incantation and throwing a cross at him. Got something to do with the vulnerability of his physical manifestation in our world, not his actual being or something like that.
"a sex scene, a fight scene, and a chase scene." Do you sometimes wonder if these scripts are written with a random plot generator?
It’s so tempting to think that the intended title of the film was Primeval, and the people making it thought that it was spelled like the words “prime evil.”
"in what other movies do the police fail to notice the obvious?"
like... all of them? i honestly think it would be easier to name all the movies where that's NOT the case!
Well, sometimes the police are actually complicit in the crimes themselves, but yes.
Something the police fail to notice? Michael Myers driving around Haddonfield in a marked and stolen car on Halloween... in Halloween. In particular THAT scene.
Maybe Loomis forgot to mention it was his car. Maybe he didn't want to mention it. "Yeah, kind of my fault he's here but it's not important."
I was excommunicated in the same way. Wow, I thought I was the only one. 😳
Did the priest who excommunicated you also have a passing similarity to Patrick Troughton?
I bought this as part of a twelve movie DVD set several years ago. When I watched this, I was transported back to those halcyon days of chemical excess, sitting up until four in the morning on Fridays, watching incoherent dreck like this because I was too fried to sleep.
I have a hard time imagining this even being shown in a theater.
Alex was summoned to the ritual by the Cookie Monster!
Your videos never disappoint.
I used to own this one on a dvd with Don’t Answer The Phone. It came with a version where you can watch both of them with trailers before and in between like a grindhouse double feature.
Robin should do a comparison review of Don't Pick Up The Phone(1978) and Open House(1988)
Satan should have borrowed the Priest's bulletproof vest! Poor Satan. :(
In "Them!" I never understood why an FBI agent took his family out camping in an almost barren sandy desert full of scraggly joshua trees for a vacation. In a trailer (..."aluminium caravan" in your neck of the woods I believe.) no less.
I think they were just stopping for the night
They were clearly big U2 fans.
@@glenmcculla6843 and yet they still hadn’t found what they were looking for.
0:12 "...dogs and cats living together!"
Quick! Hide in that chair - he'll never find me here!
Just discovered your channel and im hooked! Keep up the great work!
Horror movies where police dropped the ball? The ending of Maniac, where the cops bust in and walk out without even examining the maniac's body, immediately comes to mind.
"Jumping a head..." I see what you did there!
Bro you totally gotta review The Werewolf and the Yeti 1975. It's one of the best in Paul Naschy's series.
Paul Naschy made countless werewolf flicks
This film would have benefited from a 'rogue theramin'...
Another 80's video quicky. There's The Blob ( a whole bar full of people vanish and the cops shrug it off ) , Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 ( two guys and and a car get cut up by a chainsaw ... no big deal ) , Beast from 20,000 Fathoms ( The Army, Navy and The Coast Guard all miss the giant dinosaur sinking ships, destroying light houses and stepping on farmers ) , The Night Stalker ( Vampire running lose in Las Vegas killing women left and right, throwing hospital personal out of windows, gets shot a hundred times, out runs a police car and they, in the end cover it all up ).
Might give the place a bad name...
I believe in equality. Women can make terrible B movies too!
As if police ever take notice of most things
Can't beat the 80s
Love your stuff matey 😊😊
This was hard core in the 80's , Now in politics these would just be home movie clips from Epstein Island.
Epstein didn't kill himself
@@andrewyoung2796 There are worse videos on Hunter's laptop
The better question, in this genre, would be; In which movie have the police actually noticed the obvious?
Hahaha! I was thinking the exact same thing! Incompetent police is a prerequisite for horror movies. 😂🤣😂
0:33 Discount Sigourney Weaver
Robin, in CLASS of 1999 part 2: The Substitute, has a small town sheriff that doesn't see anything amiss, but it is not comedic like Cemetary Man
1:50 She's Nundercover!
It's the evil version of Optimus Prime...
Prime Evil, when the kids are home from school
I was looking at the thumbnail thinking isn't that the poster for Stuart Gordon's "The Pit and the Pendulum"?
I think that pornographic turdfest was a 1989 film, this flick is 88
Decapitation 0.55 “jumping ahead” intentional pun? Probably.
3:30...He has to "tinkle", ha ha!....HELLO??...these are the jokes, folks! I don't dance, this is it, y'see! They can't all be gems, y'know! Sheesh!
Glad you liked it, Dark Corners!
Me: I don’t know. I think satan would rather wait until after new years for a sacrifice. Why ruin the Christmas fun?
Roberta was also cinematographer on her husband Michael's movie Shriek of the Mutilated
Alongside Michael she also shot the abortive, made in Argentina film that comprises the majority of the notorious Snuff (1976).
2:00 *Undercover Nun* sounds like an exploitation movie waiting to happen
Not starring Whoopi Goldberg please!!!!
Again I ask the rhetorical question: What is Hollywood's obsession with the Catholic church? Why couldn't the priest be a baptist, or a Methodist, or a Pentecostal, or assemblies of God?
Cause a bapits prayer said backwards is just as boring as it is forwards, unlike latin which is evil sounding either way.
Most other denominations don't have cool costumes.
oh thank you.
Me: why a long revolver? An m1911 takes the same rounds and can take extension clips. Less of kick too
Saw this thing on a double bill at the Scala cinema in Kings Cross along with Devil Rain ( mr Travolta’s first film) maybe do that one..
And if you could I’d love any of the Ilsa movies nasty that they are..
Cheers
Tony Evans I might be wrong but I thought they did review Devil's Rain.
The cover in the thumbnail seems to have ripped off the Lance Henriksen horror film The Pit and the Pendulum (1991), only that came out afterwards. I recognise one of these actresses from Breeders. That's one trashy flick.
I’m new to these guys will look for it
This movie seemed like a bad update/remake of a British film with Christopher Lee: "City of the Dead", shown in America as "Horror Hotel". Good atmosphere, brought about in part by being in black & white, but that's about it. The coven might as well have COVEN stitched onto their clothes...
4:07 what is BILL CLINTON doing in this?
Jumping a head....😆
I love your channel-,I’m a huge fan of trash cinema
Police, "I hope you have a good explanation for this" Not only are there films in which the police are inept, think about movies in which after some unbelievable killings, the surviving couple or hero overcome(s) the villain/curse and the police sirens can be heard or the police show up. The police find them at the end of a trail of murder victims and carnage. Then there is the ending or it shows them a few days later enjoying themselves. How do they plan to explain this? There was a curse which did it. There was a demon from hell which returned after we banished it. The vampire disentigrated, so there is no physical evidence left of the murderer. The werewolf turned back into human form after we killed him, so he appears to be a regular human we killed, but he isn't. So you are planning an insanity defense? It might be fun to survey a few films in which the chain of events leaves little way that the hero or heroine are going to be able to exculpate themselves.
Have you watched Dracula's Daughter?
@@VonWenk No I haven't. A quick check indicates its not available on RUclips.
@@lewisdoherty7621 I'm sure it's one of those Classic Universal Monsters box sets. Van Helsing gets arrested at the beginning. Come to think of it, I think the hero gets arrested at the end of the remake of Nosferatu.
That is probably why I love Silence of The Lambs so much, transphobic issues aside. It's the ONLY movie I can remember that treated the police with respect while not making them super cops. Any failures to stay ahead of Hannibal Lector or Buffalo Bill were never due to careless mistakes on their part, just bad or incomplete information.
@@VonWenk "Dracula's Daughter" (1936)
A lot of these movies look like they just "make it up" as they go along....lol
Disappointing to see Francois Truffaut in this kind of movie.
Hello dearest friend thank you for sharing .
Ah pretty standard devil worship
“Undercover Nun” don’t know whether that would be a detective series or a porn film!
Mexico’s bat woman
I'm a sucker for satanic cult films, particularly sleazy ones. This one is ok
This seems like a cool idea that was unfortunately ruined by poor production, this is a movie that could get a worthy remake I would watch.
Police failing to notice the obvious,
Any wacky creature features from the 80s
It's hard for a blonde to run downstairs. Too much mind effort.
Or to find a better hiding place than a chair.
I feel like when someone says 'pretty standard devil worship' they may have seen too much.
Werewolf woman 1976
We're shooting our review of that in a couple of weeks.
robin bailes good to know
Greatest movie ever, the janitor is unstoppable Force of death, pretty sure he's just killing everyone for fun
A movie only Harvey Weinstein and Oprah could love.
Cut the crap fart breath! 😂
Fart breath
I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out but that thumbnail is from a different film, starring the legendary Lance Henriksen! It's probably worth a review on this channel?

Hey! Now Mitt Romney is a film as a devil worshipper.
Prime Evil is worse than Stuart Gordon's From Beyond.
