@@nicolasguiraldelli3592 agreed, and honestly while what happened to him was heartwrenching, like if he just went on for 5-10 more years and then died, he would’ve been the Kanye of this generation experimentally and quality-wise. but if he hadn’t died? idk i can’t help but feel like his death and his legacy was inevitable, but at the same time could’ve/should’ve been preventable for at least a few more years. how he was never seriously checked on for those 4-7 hours when he overdosed is the worst aspect of his death to me honestly. it’s just such a shame he didn’t have the time to truly deliver the world the other half of him that people didn’t see much until the end

He inspires so many people to this day to make music, not for the money, for finding love for yourself again, doing something you always wanted to do but thought you never would, using your talents you already had and having a wtf moment at what you are hearing that YOU made. i've been a fan of charli xcx for years (since 2018 or so) and i didn't really know who lil peep was back then. fast forward to 2021, i made a friend a year older than me whose favourite artist was lil peep, so at their recommendation i started listening to his music. in around november of 2021 i found this song on soundcloud, and i sent it to them (my friend) saying 'omg i never knew our favourite artists made a song together, that's so cool'. since then, i've always associated this song with them, and i absolutely love the way their voices go together to create a story. my friend passed away by su1c1de in february 2022, and every time this song comes on i think about them. i miss you so much. wherever you are, i love you - i'll see you when i get there.
