Devon is such a great father. Great to see him help his son without providing any pressure for him to be anything other than himself. That is what I aspire to do with my boys. Provide them opportunities and support their journey without trying to make it my journey. Nice job dad, good luck Auden, keep grinding, you can do whatever you want to do. Learn from your setbacks and keep your dreams alive. Be patient, put in the work and enjoy the journey.

You have to respect how Devon focuses so much on building Auden up slowly in the safest way possible and not to worry about his weight but instead, to focus on health. Auden probably has more knowledge at 18 than Devon had at 30+
Yeah when he says “health”, he probably has had long talks about how he doesn’t want Auden to hop on any gear any time soon. Which is a good thing for him.

I've been thinking the same...he'll eventually become the first true mixed martial artist of arm wrestling in terms of combining all training forms and technical forms..absorbing so much knowledge so fast can be difficult but he'll have it and over the following years he'll fall back on what he learned from this guy and so on until he eventually combines it all together and ends up with a style all his on and it'll take many years for anyone else to then catch up..he's going to lose and probably alot but that's where the growth of putting it all together will happen and the end product will be very very special
When you were talking about people that Auden needs to spend time with the first person that came to my mind was Travis Bageant. Travis is an amazing teacher and doesn’t bullshit. He will tell Auden exactly what he needs to hear.

Great interview, good questions looking forward to the matches and seeing how these two do over the next few years. I still think if Devon can hit a solid 285 then anyone would struggle with him more than they already do with his current level up since his loss to Levan. Really want to see that match again with no injuries and see how much better that match would be.

What a lucky young man to have a father like Devon. Thats like wanting to make basketball a career and your dad just happens to be Micheal Jordan. Golfing and your dad is Tiger Woods. The older brother Milo may not be quite as dedicated, but it stuck with the younger brother. Auden will be the next big thing for his generation.

6:45 I don't know about this statement. I'd say it is correct for most of the armwrestlers out there, but there is a small minority of pullers who train everyday. I'd say Gashevsky could meet him somewhere near. Krasi trains also everyday. He has not been in the sport for as long as Devon but Devon wasn't that invested in the sport from day one, since he was in the special forces.
Auden should hang out with Rino for a while in Croatia.

No matter his genetics, Auden is way behind the level of others his age. Rino is the same age. All the youth class at Waf are at a much higher level. He's starting late. Can he catch up ?
@Alejandro Gjezi There is no when in catching up unless the ones you're trying to catch up to stop training. The ones i'm comparing to are the guys to beat, and there's plenty more in the lower weight classes too. Had he started training seriously 3 or 4 years ago it would be a different story.

@@mixedmartialoddest He started at a pretty high level but he certainly got better over time. But these are different times where kids start at 14 and are beating seasoned adults by the time they're 18.
