As a newbie and coming from nomad, I’ll have to say that the two things I relied on with nomad were sculpt layers which rely on heavily and uv/texture mapping which isn’t a dealbreaker because I used them to make hair cards and in zb we have fibermesh. I’m not understanding how morph targets work but it definitely isn’t as versatile as sculpt layers which I hope it gets eventually. I’m a little stoked about not having texture maps because that’s how I import reference photos on a plane within the app. I’m assuming they’ll get these at some point.
unfortunately idont know if was the ipad it self or the recording tool that you used but the peformance are really clunkie even in a low res model like the sphere, but since have a free version, i can give a try, good models btw
@@Azaryth365 I got the newest iPad, and it’s still decently laggy, seems like 30ish fps, very Annoying when used to Nomad with 0 Frame issues whatsoever
Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah the recording software I used to record did create lag in the recording. There was no lag on my end. The recording was done on am M4 ipad pro with 1TB. Model was made on M1 ipad with 512 storage.
I have the M2 iPad Pro and it runs fluid for me. I’ve been using it since release and I haven’t experienced any lag or crashes. I’m absolutely thrilled with what we’ve got at launch. Looking for what’s to come in the future.
@@blaze0ne2 I have two M4 iPad Pro 1TB, 11 and 13’, and both of them have lower fps than Nomad when rotating the model, but nothing like this video and it doesn’t reflect in the brush strokes. It’s almost like the model rotation is at 30 fps. He says he is on an m4 iPad so either it’s a video issue or his iPad is borked up.
great video tutorial on the Z Brush iPad! It would have been the best tutorial by a long shot if you'd have stopped that CONSTANT alarm noise in the back. It's okay though, I'll just take the background noise off with Fruity Loops and re-add it to the video. Why? Only to make this video become (to me) the best Gosh Mam Z brush tutorial in the land
Seems like a decent video but not really for someone really new to this like myself. A lot of just click but doesn’t really show what you are clicking or where. Seems like more for someone already familiar with everything.
Damn, i want to watch this but the super repetetive background music drove me up the wall. Im sure its a great tut though for those with the ability to ignore the music

Hello, which version should a newbie to Z-Brush start with, Desktop or iPad?

@@KurtKore How big of a model or how dense of a mesh are you creating in Nomad?
