I’ve had this on loop for 24 hours now god i need to go through the rest of these older tracks, the chorus on this is _unbelievably_ hype. ALSO THAT PARADIGM STRING. I really REALLY hope we can see this get remastered/rerecorded because I _know_ you could take this from a 7 or 8 out of 10 to a MINIMUM 10.5. I dont know if it was a stylistic choice or a recording situation but i really feel you constrained yourself here with the sort of whisper-scream delivery. I feel like if you went all in on that “Loud and Clear” hype delivery it’d elevate the entire track. You’re the expert of course, but Im trying to think of an example because I can practically hear it in my head. I don’t mean the other end of screaming, IE something like your “OPEN MORE BODIES THAN A CORONER” bit in your remastered Fight Me track, i mean something like… Ah! Like Connor Quest’s second verse in the Yonko cypher. *Keep it a hunna!* *I’m the lead chief runner!* *Got a mean green stunner!* ^ That bit. That raw as hell but very clear and stable sort of loud delivery. Kind of the opposite of the whisper yell now that i write it out…but yeah, i feel like leaning into a loud, clear, hype as hell sort of delivery instead of the gritted restrained anger (that ironically afaik fits levi’s character more, if it was stylistic i can see why you went with it!) then I honest to god think it’d really just take this to a whole new level. There is one bit i would keep the delivery the same on, that “knee-high / Levi” bit, the delivery there is already PERFECT for the lead back in to a final chorus.
