  • Come with me and I'll show you around different areas of Chongqing, some more densely populated than others! Also, a breathtaking scenic view that many tourists stop at where you don't know what floor you're on!
    There are quite a few communities such as this one, and some that are even more crowded! If you'd like to see these, please let me know in the comment section below.
    » ABOUT ME

    the greatness of china is how ordinary people can live simple lives. just being able to walk around the neighborhood like that is not something you can experience in the west! even though it's densely populated, you feel so much space because it's not taken up by the road and cars! i love the trees and plants in the area.

      Yes, it feels very nice and inviting. If you manage to stumble across a nice little cafe, it can be a great morning or afternoon!

    I love how there are seats and benches in various places for people to rest or hangout

      Yes, it's a strong community feel in these densely living areas, so people (especially elders) enjoy sitting with their neighbours and chatting about life-topics

    Very clean everywhere.

    • @thisispat-1
      @thisispat-1  23 дня назад

      Most cities in China are clean, I think it's on account of the city cleaners they have. Usually retirement age folk who are hired by the cities to walk around with dust pans and brooms, cleaning up garbage and the like.

    Nice and clean and organized and impressive if one is to bring the population density in question.

      It's amazing how well everything works with such a high population density!

      That's happened to me, but you're always able to find a road a flag down a taxi when you get really lost! The anxiety you overcome when you know that you can ask anyone for help and they will gladly help you out!

    What a fascinating labyrinth of humanity! From watching the video, it seems like if the ground is flat, you're probably on top of a structure; if the ground is sloped, there's a good chance that its actually ground😁

    The most difficult part about this video is that i WISH i was there to experience the city.

    This is so wild , but cool ! Navigating in 3D 🤯 . I feel like the average person would get a LOT of steps just in general daily life getting from point a to b.

    • @thisispat-1
      @thisispat-1  25 дней назад +2

      In Beijing I averaged 7000 steps a day, here it's been 13000+. When we first moved here, we would go for walks on the weekend through local communities and get lost in the vastness of the city. Its something I never thought I'd have the opportunity to experience

    very interesting thank you. i've been to China twice but of course never to these off the track places. i just read a book on China ww2 and i remember Chongqing was Chiang's Nationalist capital. No wonder the Japanese couldn't get to it

    • @thisispat-1
      @thisispat-1  23 дня назад

      You're very welcome! And yes, Chongqing is very far inland, so it wasn't easily accessible for the Japanese army. However, Chongqing was one of the 4 most heavily bombed cities of ww2.
      I'll look into doing a video on Chongqing during ww2, there is a great amount of history in this city! And much that the average Westerner doesn't know.

      In this city especially everyone walks, it's sometimes easier due to the stairs and slopes! But in general, people in China walk more, it could be a large city thing. I know in Canada I never walked as much!

    for sure - i mean there are 30+ million people living there, they gotta live close together. It's an insanely built city

    • @thisispat-1
      @thisispat-1  23 дня назад

      It's a great accomplishment to have built such a large city in such a mountainous area! I'll do my best to go to a couple of parks that have great lookout points that show the mountainous/valley terrain!
