  • The Mingara Recreation Club archway artwork consists of a hand sculpted 6mm steel rod frame finished in bright silver with one hundred and one 3mm acrylic panels. All acrylic panels are covered in 3M dichroic film which shifts colours in warm tones of cyan/blue/magenta in transmission and red/gold colour regions of the spectrum in reflection. The panels appear to change colours when viewed at various angles. All acrylic was mounted on over 300 individual tabs welded to the steel rods.
The design concept was provided by Luchetti Krelle and interpreted free hand by a talented Diemme's metalworker.
