Totally agree also moss. I have moss all over one side of the garage roof and on paths even where the sun shines for most of the day. It seems the sun doesn't kill moss anymore.
Got mine today. Just put it up now, and put the outdoor light on to just give it a try albeit late at night, but an hour or so before the cut off time for noise. It seems to be pretty good tbh - Saves me getting a gardener
Have paving stone in my garden, and it's a bloody nightmare, just cleared all the weeds and crap this week, but it will be back to square one by early June. Read someone saying put salt in boiling water and put on the area's🤷♂️ not tried it yet though.
Once you’ve cleared the weeds the best thing you can do is get kiln dried sand, sweep it all over your patio into the cracks and then apply a patio sealant. Will keep them away for a few years and just re do it every few years
@NxD42 Would you also recommend a pre-treatment of Rock Salt or Table Salt? Basically Salt to kill whatever roots are active, then the kiln dried sand, then the sealer? I know sealer is pretty aggressive anyway chemical wise but maybe rocksalt too for belts and braces?
Hey Scott, I see MA is sending up a balloon. I have been wanting to do this for a couple years and have been doing alot of research that could help MA. He doesn't allow comments anymore - please let him know I'd love to share my knowledge to help. Thanks!
That's pretty much how I was doing it it not only took hours but left me with bad back and shoulders for a few days after now it takes about 10 minutes to keep on top of every few months really worth it and no back pain 👍
I did look at them and they did look good. One thing where they would be better would be getting into the corners and the very edges which the sweeper doesn't
@@scott_harrison yea im not into weed killers on grass but sense it's bricks i'd go for some drainO or liquid plumber or something LOL . Turn it all into dirt in a day or two then hose water on it for a couple of days. But yea the cats would have to stay indoors for a week .
@@scott_harrison gas works great mate. Those weeds will be dried up in a couple hours. Tomorrow you can just sweep it away. (I've been doing it for years.) In old ketchup bottle. But the expensive part is putting some driveway sealer on it, after it's clean. Cost $100.
It's taking some of the dirt off it I jet washed it afterwards and there were no marks on the bricks. It's a very shaded area so a lot of moss grows on it

Im with you. Weeds come back many times more than I remember. Used to knock em down maybe 2 or 3 times in April-May and they'd stay away for months

One of the best reviews going
Handy bit of kit
Yeah it's really good took me a week to do it with the jet wash, only took half a day with this
Great review, very thorough. Thank you 🙏

I suppose it depends what kind of plants are growing I don't think I'll be trying that but if you do and it works let me know

A bit slow for busy people to watch. Nice machine.

@@scott_harrison Oh shoot buddy. Still hope to grab a pint with ya some day mate. You helped save me from insanity
Look forward to it mate 👍
It really helps to do that and buy a weed killer from Pitchcare and is animal friendly after an hour and it won’t be coming back
Really helpful video this I’m currently using a stick with a wire brush on the end and my back is in bits
I think I’ll buy this 👍

Should try a weed burner
I did look at them and they did look good. One thing where they would be better would be getting into the corners and the very edges which the sweeper doesn't
I'd buy a bottle of hard core chemicals ,
Would be easier wouldn't it :) unfortunately with the cats I can't use them

Scratches all the stones!
I found a gallon of gas cost allot less than any weed killer. 😯🤭🔫
😂 not nowadays
And if you don't have nosy neighbors its quite a midnight show over a beer

You mean using gas burner, I do not want to burn Ants and other insects.
It scratches the block paving.
No it's taking off a layer of dirt on the blocks. I thought the same as you at first but after a jet wash it looked fine with no scratches
It's making a helluva mess of the brickwork though 😢
