- Anyway, let's proceed and NEVER again get a Campfire Scene with Nern in it. Ever. Again. Please. Let him just be a background side-character for the rest of this game.
We've got a girl to find...
And... Surprisingly enough- We DID find her, only to have her taken away. Of course, it's not as easy as just a happy reunion. God... The underlying things going on with this game make me deeply uncomfortable, but in a good way, in a "This is messed up" kind of way, and I continue enjoying things!
Next up we've got islands to explore and more hope to keep chasing after our little girl, while Brad keeps getting increasingly more damaged...

Yessss :D I've been getting really back into it, I may even play some of the games on-stream honestly...

I definitely haven't played Len'en yet! My point does stand, though, I do think ZUN has written some really interesting character and lore- He cooks with the Manga, and things like Curiosities in Lotus Asia and the Hifuu CDs!
Bro has been cooking for too long! In the early days, he was obviously bad at writing, character's actually got some character in either touhou 8 and above, or later works for previous characters. Mangas are pretty good, but they have been notably bad recently, since around wild and horned hermits ending. Even recent games have had bad writing, look at 18. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game, as is the rest of the series (besides 13, all my homies hate TD) but the 20 year old mystery of where the hakurei orb comes from answered by a "yeah, i made that" from a random stage 4 boss? I think not. ZUN is good at everything except writing, as of recently, at least. Sorry for the late ass reply, work is hard
It's too bad you couldn't stand Nern. Most people keep the old windbag around for the TP users, especially Birdie! His SP restoring skill isn't bad either. On a different note, I see that Buzzo caught you off guard here. Don't forget that he only takes a party member in your 2nd slot if you decide to replay this game in the future. You can get rid of Fardy or Percy at that point instead of losing an arm if you can stomach their sacrifice. One other thing: I have a theory that I intend to test out for that Russian Roulette minigame. I think it's about timing. If you press the button while that gang leader is pointing at your opponent, then your party member MIGHT not die. I don't have the game yet so I can't test that theory. I will test it when I get the game though.
I have a feeling it's truly Random but I could see there being some trick to it. :o And oh gosh no, listen- X3 I may be exaggerating for comedic effect, I don't MIND Nern really~. He was just. A LOT.
@@WakrayaElber I think most players find him annoying, but admit he has his uses. I hope I didn't come off as some kind of fanboy of Nern. I've just been reading about him on the Lisa Wiki on Fandom. I heard a funny thing related to the topic of annoying characters in this game too. Apparently, Dingaling actually tried to make Terry so annoying that people wouldn't feel bad about giving him up. He acknowledged that he failed at that though. I think I see where he went wrong though: He made Terry useful for LATER in the game. Once he learns Hot Dance & Hottest Dance, he becomes a powerhouse! He has both moves as a boss fight if you gave him away too & he'll try to wreck you with them! His Verbal Bash skill is useful for preventing permadeath in certain fights as well, particularly if it inflicts the P*ssed status during those fights!

Chat kinda back seaty/spoiley for that fish area. You learn about that from an NPC later in the same area and it feels kinda cool to find it on your own. I don't know why the chat was acting like it was not hinted at clearly in the game and didn't let you at least find the guy who tells you about it first. :(
Yeah I believe it was addressed later on or at least mentioned there was a bit of that- Hopefully next time will be better in that regard!
@@WakrayaElber for what it's worth the playthrough has been pretty great so far so it didn't really effect too much this time ^_^
