This is my family’s home town. Though I live in the US, spent the summer of 1976 there as a college student and visited again in 1988. This really makes me want to go back.
Thanks for such a wonderful tour of this lovely place. You hit all the right spots and brought back wonderful memories. I encourage everyone who visits Spain to add Cáceres to your itinerary. It’s a true medieval gem and worth the visit. I love that they have added signs everywhere giving the history of the place.

Impressive atmosphere of this beautiful medieval city. In addition to the expectations of its architecture, I was enchanted by the intense coloration of the stones in its walled parts, in various shades, creating a true mosaic in movement as the gaze passed through the streets.
