This was the last Michigan game that I was afraid that they were going to lose in two years. I know they lost to TCU but throughout that game I always thought they’d win until about four minutes left.

Well they beat TCU but the refs took 2 TDs off the board.....

Jake Moody saved Michigan's ass in that game.

I work night shifts 7 pm-7 am in AZ and I bought my ticket for THE GAME two days before this game. I remember receiving several texts from my dad when I woke up. “Not looking good!” “Let’s goo” “omg” “sell your ticket” “ you lucky sob” and woke up so relieved 😅

This is so satisfying to watch because every time I watch Michigan play they play extremely well you probably have maximum amount of energy they probably have equivalent of winning against TCU in the Big ten championship and going to the Rose bowl

We barely escaped this one Illinois was the toughest team we had faced all season period. Props to those guys but thankfully big blue came out o too.

      Stop writing nonsense.
Michigan's offense fell apart after the injury to Blake Corum.
Michigan early in the game was shredding Illinois with Blake Corum running amok up the pitch.
Michigan was lucky to have a great kicker like Jake Moody.

Shows you how thin they were behind Corum and Edwards at RB. They have to fix that before next season.

@@Jay-n262 how are you supposed to fix that you're only going to have maybe two great running backs in your system if you're lucky there's nobody that's going to have three or four backup running backs on the depth chart that can perform like an Edwards or Blake . There's nobody that's going to be doing that cuz then I'll be going to transfer portal if somebody is that talented they're not going to sit behind third string

@@Jay-n262 #23 is good... on a high school field. He'll have to bulk up a little, build some more speed, and will become a serviceable #2 or #3. Either him or Gash #41 will be back there - maybe both if they know they'll inherit the team in 2024. But the big thing is to keep our two horses healthy and not let that be a problem. We need our weapons!

@@waynewalton8798 You might be right. I'm hearing that Erick All followed Cade McNamera to Iowa ... both were injured for a majority of the season and couldn't help this Wolverine team. But the team is back to back B1G champs and in the playoff again anyways... and may have decided that their skill set wasn't needed in the system any longer. We also don't know... Iowa could have been low-key recruiting them, knowing they need more offense and what better way to help win the west than take two good players that are already B1G champions.

I was at this game and it was SO FREAKING COLD!!! I've been to a lot of winter football games and this was possibly the coldest I've ever been at one

    Harbaugh's great coaching the difference.
Illinois let this game get away from them to the Big 10 champs. Illini had a great chance once All American UM Corum missed most of the game with that, basically, season ending injury. Great game.

AA catches that ball its a different story. But Illinois got away from there running game as well. If they stuck with the run it might have been a different outcome.

That Illinois defender that went for Blake's knee is a real POS for that one. You don't go that low unless you're actively trying to hurt someone. He should've been ejected and suspended after after that BS 😤😤😤

offsides at 15:08 and week holding penalty at 6:45 and a few pass interference passes committed by illinois in the 1st half that were not called.

Its 100% a pick play but not a penalty. The WR and DB can have contact within 10 yards, and the wr never contacts the other DB, his teammate does. They run something similar on the first play of that drive and the Illinois DBs just play it better and dont run into each other.

I have a feeling Blake had a bad knee before this game. In one of his breakaway runs this game, he just off the sideline for no reason, he didn't keep going, might have got a touchdown if he had. Then that hit to the knee happened and he was out.

maybe. they're gonna lose their star RB brown and DB witherspoon, and they lost their talented DC. not to mention, UM won't play them in the regular season
