I thought I could hang a bunch,run the output wires down the cable and make a wind farm.

Unfurling vawt looks cool but a series of the same hung on a tether together are likely to clash with one another . It is better to have them mounted firmly at both ends and the whole arrangement can be made to swivel to face the wind always
