Craft Room: Part 1

- Here is the first part of my craft room series (post intro and before tour of course) in which I showcase my progress thus far. Yes, it has been slow going, but I am so, so happy I am finally getting it done. And yes, I do realize this is INSANELY long and I promise that my subsequent videos will be shorter. I think I'm just going to have to break things down into more parts as I can't seem to talk less. I hope to have another video of the craft room out next month.

@ everyone that has said mean things about her things: everyone's life is different. If you feel the need to have less things I think its your opinion but its rude to tell someone to "get rid of some things". They might not want to and its not your decision. Leave her alone. It's her life and who wouldn't love to have this. She is blessed and that's all! I love your videos Jen! :) thanks for your tips!
You are extremely organized...I am trying to get there but I still have Teens in the house so it can be frustrating getting them to put things away. Where did you get your wrapping paper organizer?
Very nice! I like the drawer with the files in different colors. Where did you buy the files? I want to do the same kind of color system, but I don't find beautiful files like that in France. So I'm considering bying in the US. ;-)
Jen, I simply LOVE all your videos! Could you spend some time to show us how you make Winnie's bows with those different ribbons you have? I do know that most of your bows come from a different supplier called 'Doggie Bow Ties'. Ignore all those dislikes (people are just jealous) and all the hateful comments (people are extremely jealous), we'll spam them for you! Keep posting those videos!
You must be minted. So jealous I have a little space in a cupboard under the stairs. I wish I had all your problems, life would be so simple for me. The things I could make in your craft room would be unreal. I could come across to US and help you sort it all out if you like lol xxx So love your room xxx

Hey can you do a what's in your purse? And also I'd love to see what you included in your "packing for a complicated trip" list! Like you should do a packing for just a normal trip somewhere for a week. That would be super helpful and interesting! I always end up bringing too many pants and not enough shirts etc!
could you go into more detail on how you file your financial , etc things ?
@wahini101 I am wearing Zoya nail polish in the color Valerie. It looks darker on the video than in person. It is a gorgeous, deep wine-colored purple with a little sparkle to it. Love it!

people, its a craft room, supposed to be filled with crafts!!! i had a sewing room , filled with fabrics, notions and different sewing machines. these were items i needed to do my art with! her room is not cluttered and its very organized...........you did an amazing job!! i love your craft room!!!!

I love your posts. I heard you mention once before that since you went digital on ical you have been forgetting birthdays. I wanted to suggest that with ical, you can set an alarm to go off every year on a particular date so that you wont miss anymore birthdays. You can have it go off a few days before the actual event.

@stampinivy I bought all of my craft room furniture from Pottery Barn. The big desk in the middle is the Bedford Project Table. I love that it's counter height and so wide. I can lay out big projects on it.
I always walk away with at least one good tip for your videos. This time, I'm walking away with several :-) I especially love the idea of storing extra paper in filing folders. I have two filing cabinets that are not being used so I plan to put our extra paper there. Thank you!
@OohToBeFree Glad you enjoyed it! I like having my paper in the filing folders because then I can see how much I have in what colors and it stays neat.

@emtala I usually overpack, too. I hate not being prepared!! Looks like I might be going away in March for a week long trip and I could definitely do a packing video for that showcasing my packing list. I'm planning on filming a purse video next week, so stay tuned!
You always apologize for the videos being long but you should know that it's ok! (: We all love your videos and the long ones are just even better! You are so easy to listen to and all of your tips are helpful (: Keep the long videos coming!!
I love this room! the wall color is great, the Pottery Barn furniture is beautiful and just so pretty. Bummed though to see that the wall craft station is no longer available, they are so great. I was wondering though, what is the size of your room? Love all of your videos, keep them coming.

Jen...in one of your vlogs this week it seemed like you had switched up the organization of your shelves of your craft room. Would you consider doing an updated tour? Love everything you do!

you're so pretty owo I'm slowly changing my bedroom into a partial craft room XD it's still a mess but it's getting there. I hope to get my rooms as organized as yours. Hopefully I can transform my spare/storage room into the craft room and move everything into the attic or something

I love the filing cabinets, but I think the reason that both drawers can't be opened at the same time is because filing cabinets are usually built that way.

I can't seem to find those clothes pin magnets. Boooo. They are probably gone. Stinks. I love the on the wall. Not big but small. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I still love your room! I love the color, your furniture and even the basket of owls (especially the white one...I love owls, too) I also have a Shih tzu! I just bought him home when on September 1st, we got him while on vacation in Tennessee after I lost my beloved last dog July 5th (he was a bearded collie mix). My new dog is Dunkin (like the donut since my husband had to stop at Dunkin Donuts each morning while on vacation) and he is so sweet! He is 7 months old now and tri- colored.
Love the room:) question does the desks have a glass on it ? If so where did u get it ? I've been trying to find a place that has them for my daughters desk .. Thanks:)

I love watching your long videos. A suggestion: for the viewers who want shorter videos perhaps you could put in your info bar the time frame where the project starts. As for me though I love the videos long
Pottery Barns calls your craft rm desk toppers 'Bridges,' other supplies refer to them as a 'Hutch' but they are often taller. Have you done a room-by-room inventory and evaluated supplies for insurance? Do you use up supplies before they become obsolete? I wish you'd hung the paper roll cabinet to form a visual line with the top of adjacent shelving to give the eye a rest

What I like about you, is that you aren't one of those people who are almost or even allthe way OCD about it. It showa in the video tha yes, sometimes it IS okay to have a few things cluttered up on the counter.. BTW, we are both Jen:):)

I've never wrapped a gift in my life. Always put it in a bag with some colorful paper on top. That's is my best effort !! lol
