I am not a skier but I just purchased skis, boots, poles and plan to hit some groomed trails after this cold snap passes. I ordered a pulling harness, bungee line, and a hip harness for me with a plan to teach my dog the skijoring commands while jogging with her until I am comfortable on my skis. I'm a pretty quick study so we should be able to do some skijoring this winter. The biggest challenge is finding a spot to skijor but I have a few ideas to check out. Thank you for the video! Rancho looks very happy and content watching you film the video. So cute!
Lol! I will have to try this with dog! I have a mountain bernese. He LOVES the snow! He and poodle recently had had puppies. They are still very tiny. Only 8 weeks old. But I bet they would love it!
Dog skijoring looks so much fun! It's awesome that you and Rancho can do this sport together. Where we are, there's no snow in winter, and at the snowy mountain we went to last winter only rescue dogs are allowed, even in summer.
We really love this, unfortunately we don't often have snow here....today is raining so the snow we did have is almost gone....it was great to see Rancho having so much fun!🐶🐾🐺❄
That was amazing! Rancho looks so strong! Although Petra looks light like a feather it is still requires lots of strength to pull a human with all that ski gear! Rancho is a real athlete! xx
What a great activity to do with your dog. And here comes the Norwegian grammar advisor: "Skikjøring" (with a "k" and "ø"). Or "Skikjoring" for you overseas. Still need a "k" in there :) Lovely dog! -All the best from Norway.
Skijoring looks like a blast. I bet that revs up your cardio. Wow. Rancho is in his element. I love how you let Rancho run free also while Skijoring. Your uploads are super entertaining but informative as well, thank you. Teaching basic commands and letting them run off leash, yasss. You make skijoring look chic and effortless. I can ski but I’m a klutz by nature but I would love to try skijoring. Rancho is so athletic and adorable. His enthusiasm clearly shows! He loves it! I love you guys! I appreciate the breakdown on the equipment you use and recommend. It’s another pawsome vid. Stunning scenery, upbeat music and editing skills on point.👍 We love ya Rancho! 🤗🐾🐕💋💘
Hi, my dear. I'm from Russia and we're fairly snowed up this year. There was a moment when I was just playing with my dog with a big plastic ring and I was standing on the skis and she caught hold on the ring and pulled me a bit downhill. We both found it very entertaining. Now we're trying to ski together. I've got only a gear for the dog, Already for two weeks we're practicing... Me on the skies holding the leash in one hand and one stick in the other, and my Drat Haar Freulein in her gear. We're enjoing it. Your video has been really helpful, in particular the part about the quick release carabin. I'm going to film a video and send it to you. And I'm going to order more equipment. Thank you.
What a wonderful video. So nice to see you in action. Also beautiful drone images! We had snow here for a week. Taking walks with Fenna (8y) and Loki (8m) in the woods was great. I don't venture on skis. Would like to keep my hips whole😉
Thank you very much! Hehe, I completely understand. Hips are a very important body part 😃 Hope mine will stay intact too. Give a cuddle to Fenna and Loki for me.
Just curious, but wouldnt it be better to attach a small rope to make that pull ring easier grabbable? Saw that release ring is quite small and since you wear gloves, can you actually grab it properly then?a
Thanks for the feedback ;) It was actually the first piece of music I've ever paid for, (I got an epidemic sound subscription) hehe. I actually kind of like it, and it took me over an hour to pick the right song. Hopefully next time I find something you'll like too. 😆

Wow. That's an interesting policy. You might not be able to go skijoring, but you have the ocean 🌊 and that's even better. 🙃
We really love this, unfortunately we don't often have snow here....today is raining so the snow we did have is almost gone....it was great to see Rancho having so much fun!🐶🐾🐺❄
oh, nooo. I hate it when snow melts away :( Unfortunatelly next week it should also rain over here. So no more skijoring. Thanks for watching frens. 💙
Wow all the ways you video this! And how much fun did you have! I don’t think I could pull My MaMa. Lol👍🏻😁❤️🦊first full watch!
Thank you frens 🤗
What a wonderful video! A real pleasure to watch and informative to boot. Love the relationship you have with your dog too. That’s one happy pooch.

Hehe, true 😀 I still weigh about twice as much as Rancho, so it's pretty hard work. 😅 Thanks for watching.

Thank you! 😃 I had no idea there was an additional 'k' in Norwegian. hehe

😚😚😚🐺💝💝💝
Thank you Patty ;)
@@ranchothedog ❤😚🐺
Guess the dog is hammered after doing this, looks tiring and hard on the dog.
it is, but he loves it. And I do let him off the leash as well, so he's not always just pulling.
