- Today, I install and show you the new Custom Dynamics Saddlebag LED Latch Lightz. I was excited to put these on my Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special. The saddlebag LED lights are run, brake, and turn and are compatible with the Custom Dynamics Magic Strobes. They make a huge difference. Join me as I do a step-by-step installation and then show you what they look like on the bike.

It's complete. Everything worked well, thanks to you and others who put out helpful tips and videos that help hookup our Harleys!!!
Very cool!
I had to use a 9/16 drill bit because the connector required that. I popped my reflector with a flat head screwdriver. Easy.
Thanks!
No problem!
I purchased these last week and once I get my bike out of Winter storage I have a ton of Custom Dynamics LED lights to install. So glad you took the time to create this install video. I am looking forward to installing mine soon.
I appreciate your awesome video...
Appreciate the kind words and I’m glad it will help.
I hope I gave enough cable to connect once I run my wire around to the battery. I'm not there yet. I have to run my wite and tape it down. We ll see then.
Thanks for sharing I was able to install the low profile sequential and the magic probe. I’m not sure what sequence to install the latch light harness . Can you help please all those wires are confusing to me. Thanks again for the tutorial on my other custom dynamic lights. You made it easy.
Magic strobe sorry
You just daisy chain them. Start with strobes(plug into port that is for taillight under your seat), then sequential, then latch light. Then plug latch one into other port into bike. If for some reason, that doesn’t work, just switch the sequential and latch. I know the strobes are first. If you continue to have issues, call CD tech support. They’ve helped me with a similar issue before.
Thank you i will try that as soon as I find my 9/16 bit lol thanks for responding
I used your video to install the lights. Your video was perfect. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words.
I just had these installed on my 17 RGS. I love them... super bright,, along with my 8" plazma rods on the back and my stock brake/run/turn signal lights and my LED dynamic turn signals.. .you can't miss my bike... I should have ask the installer at BBB in Arkansas when I was there how to disconnect the plug at the bag to remove the bag. other installers on here have yet to show that. maybe I'm just a knot head but I don't want to mess it up... great video... I've subscribed to your channel manly because we both have 17's. thanks man... DAWG from The show me state...
Thanks man. You should see a JAE clip right behind your saddlebag by left corner. If you ever need to disconnect, just squeeze the tabs and pull out. Makes it easy with the quick disconnect. Only time I ever do this is when I’m taking off bag to do work or clean.
@@Broncoride Thanks man for the come back. I called Custom Dynamics and the gal walked me through it while I was doing it. I just didn't want to mess it up,, now that I know how to do it.. its a SNAP... no pun intended... thanks for getting back to me...
Awesome video brotha. Where you find that tray for your saddlebag? That’s a great idea 🍻
Thank you. Check out hardbagger.com
Top notch and quality products.
I have the Magic Strobes on my bike but I'd like to put these Latch Lights on mine but have them just function as running lights as opposed to brake and turn signals. Can they be wired up that way? Thanks and great video!
I’d honestly call Custom Dynamics tech support. I’m sure there is a way to do it.
@@Broncoride Fair enough. Thanks for the response!
Nice video... where did you get that tray from??
It’s from a company called Top Shelf. Comes in handy.
Another excellent how to video on something from Custom Dynamics. You are the king at doing these installations videos and I appreciate it because the step-by-step makes it seem easy to complete. Going to have to try this on my bike now, right safe.
Thanks my friend.
Do you know if that connector will fit on a 2012 streetglide ? I have a plug for my tribar that looks exactly the same as those do , I have 2014 bags on mine and I want a pair if they will fit
I’d call Custom Dynamics. To my knowledge, most of their lights are 2014-current and then they make several for pre-2014.
Where did you get that saddlebag shelf?
I've seen several videos, but you are the best. You actually show the whole process, unlike others that play annoying music and show half of what's being done. Keep up the great work!
Top Shelf is name of the company. It has worked well. I did a vid on it. Just search my channel vids. About 2 years ago. Ty for compliment.
Another well done product from CD. One more thing to add to the wish list...
Lots of things on the wish list from CD
I love it!
Hey man, how are you? These are way cool.
Use tape please to keep your drill bit from sliding.
Just ordered these plus the interior lights for my 17 Limited. Question- can I put both sets of wires through 1 grommet, or are separate holes required? I’m going to be installing both at the same time. Thanks!
It would be really tight, but I’m assuming you could do it. I’d bunch them all up together and try to pinch it through.
Broncoride, excellent DIY video! I see you have the HD adjustable backrest. My wife has it too. How do you like it?
It’s not bad, but more designed for riders 6’ and shorter. I have mine pushed back all the way. When my back flares up, I actually push it forward to put pressure on my back.
Another killer video! Keep up the great work and never lose that creative passion!
where did you get that tray?
Top Shelf at Hardbagger.com
@@Broncoride Thanks so much :)
A pit of a pain, but not really complicated. End result is awesome bro.
Really wasn’t that bad. Came out real nice.
Someday I may do an instructional video but my bike is out of date and no one has an old bike they don’t already know how to work on lol nice work
Haha, you have a great bike man.
Well done sir, I thinking on doing the same!
Really worth it.
Those are freaking cool! Great instructions!
Thanks man. One of my favorites for sure.
Do they make them for a 2016 street glide Special
Yes they do.
Do you have to take the seat off to remove the saddlebags after this install?
No sir. You just have to undo the quick disconnect behind the saddlebags.
You are a brave man. I would love to have these on my bike but I am not sure about drilling into my bags? Of course, as always you make it look so easy! When do you think you will have to add another battery to run just your lights? Just kidding. Those are really nice and bright. Custom Dynamics does it again with another great product! Ride Safe
Not as bad as you think. The grommet sealed it up real nice. Of course, drilling into the saddlebag did create some anxiety but there was already another grommet there from the saddlebag screws; so all good.
They look really good buddy, I need some of that goof off 🤣😃👍
Stuff is gold man.
Nice addition to the SGS! Man all those wires look confusing as hell to me. I’ll start a little at a time.
Man, they are packed in tight. Zip tie party.
Cool✌️☮️🌴
