Because it's normal to listen to a wide range of genre in our radio I never really realized how lucky we are out here. Music is timeless in the Philippines, you can hear several generations in an hour and there are even designated days for throwbacks. I think this is why even though I'm more of a pop listener I still listen to classical/R&B/alt rock etc. Music is just a big part of our lives, there's always a soundtrack to every moment we can relate to with OPM.

When you do karaoke with the family, everybody gets into it. You hear your mom and dad and grandma and tita and tito and kuya and ate. You hear all their go to songs. And so you are exposed to many genres in different generations.

You’re beginning to get to know our music scene better! And there is so much more from each of them, not to mention youve Barely grazed the surface with the OGs Regine Velasquez, Martin and Gary, and our bands and choirs.

Grew up listening to Bone Thugs, Ja Rule, Eminem, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot, so lucky that I got to watch them live in Dubai.. But I would never think I'd listen to pinoy rap/hiphop. But since RUclips does auto mixes, I got to discover Gloc-9 (Bahay Yugyugan) and Josue (Himlay, Determinado, Akala feat. Pablo) and Alex Bruce (Dime Girls). I'm only appreciating OPM hiphop now.. Again, thanks GidKidDad channel for introducing different genres of OPM in your platform.

The market dictates the quality of the product🤍🇵🇭
So true, filipino singers here are like that because that is what we all look for in a singer/artist. Accuracy and emotion
My two cents, if a singer is only accurate and we did not feel his/her interpretation, people here will not buy that (most of the time)😉
I hope we all hold the same high standard in choosing our govt leaders🙏 (may hugot pa eh 😂)

Flow G (lakers cap) for me has one of best flows in the world (Rapstar & G wolf MVs). Skusta (abe cap) is the Chris Brown and MJ of the Philippines - can rap, sing and dance. Talented dudes.

Skusta Clee, the guy singing the hook is considered the King of Philippine Trap music as he started the genre in d country. You should check out his solo songs specially the recent ones. O.C.Dawgs I believe is also part a mega rap group called Ex-Batallion. There songs are quite popular here in PH and their concert tickets and merch are quite expensive but still they get sold out somehow so they're pretty big. And the panty dropper league is them as well 😅😅😅
