I love this thing. I have a Kemper as my main amp but wanted something smaller for jamming. The amp models are killer on these. I prefer them to the Helix.

I also have the Ampero Mini and here is a hidden function i found,if you run this unit into a power amp or front of a real amp(clean channel) into for example a 4x12 Cab and yes you may know to turn off the Cab Sims but try this,turn Cab Sim off in Global settings(really is says on and it can be confusing) and then in Edit mode you can turn the Cab Sim there on or off and you get a different tone character and also when cab is on you can still change Mic Types!Even when Cab is on in Edit mode i do not think it is really on it just changes your overall tone!like i already mentioned make sure Cab Sim is off in Global settings!
Honestly for the super low price, this is a better buy than a lot of just single pedals that are on the market. If you if you don't like the Amp models just run your fav pre-amp pedal in front of it and you are set.
Toured the US last summer with the OG Ampero. Insane value, best sounding modeler of the cheaper ones.
How it compare to helix??

This is the first amp modeler I've really considered buying. I use plugins through the FX return on my 6505+. This seems like a much more viable version of that with WAY more versatility. Thanks for sharing 🔥

What's up, Kyle?! Excellent value for the money. Easily the best budget modeler/processor on the market at its price point. It's a shame Hotone decided to include the older software set on the mini, vs the superior modeling software they released on the Ampero 2, which hit the market a year before the mini... Still sounds good though.
Having the tuner in this particular modeler is a nice touch. It really comes in handy.

Hotone is killing it man! As far as not having a power switch goes, you can always cut the end off the power lead and solder a toggle or pushbutton on to cut the power. No biggie for a creative person lol.
I just played the OG version at a friends place the other day. The one with the expression pedal.
And honestly the look of it seemed like a kids toy. But looks can be deceiving. This thing rips.
The breakout tones and the hi gain are both great!

Did you try a Nux NGS-6 Amp Academy yet? Unbelievable piece of kit, sounds great and doesn't give you option paralysis.
All you need with ampero is custom irs, I have ampero one and after loading some from Ownhammer and Bogren digital this thing has the punch I need.
Great video and great little pedal. I have the OG Ampero (same models as this one it seems) and it sounds great in the fx return of my tube amps. It is nearly indistinguishable from my tube preamps in this setup (Synergy and DIY). Incredible.

Tried one out, liked it so much, i returned it and grabbed the stomp, liked it a ton grabbed the additional foot switch for it, disappointed to find they announced the Stage unit right after, returned it, waiting on that big one!!!
I may go for the Stage. For $170 off Ali Express, I couldn't resist the Mini to cable with before the plunge for the Stage.

I have the ampero stomp 2 and use it into the input of my tube amp and just only use the drive pedals and it’s actually quite amazing better than most of my real drive pedals. And also the Engl stuff in the ampero sounds better than my hx stomp and headrush versions.
Does the rockerverb sound better in the stomp than the hx? How about other amp?
@@hartlee1160 honestly I’m not sure I always use the mesa,Engl,Diezel amps but I will do a test today and get back to you. I have the fractal fm3, hx stomp, headrush, and ampero 2 and I’ll do a test and see which one sounds better and let you know. The fractal does usually sound the best but a pain in butt to dial in compared to the others and also way to expensive.
And when I do the test I try all modelers through my FRFR speakers and then through my tube power amp and cab which is 2x12 with v30s and also with my solid state power amp and cab as well and see which is the best , and I’ll let you tonight in case your thinking about making a purchase. And let me know if there’s any other amps you would like to know about.
@@hartlee1160 the rockerverb actually sounds best on the hx stomp, the ampero version didn’t have enough gain I maxed it out to 100 and a overdrive pedal and still not enough. The fractal version sounded like the real thing but is way more expensive and not worth the headache of tweaking for hours. I prefer the hx stomp for the rockerverb because it’s easy to dial in and sounded great and also they have a bigger fallowing with patches and IR’s and still do updates unlike ampero. If you got the money get a fractal if on a budget go with hx stomp I hope this helps
@jimjimmy7365 when it comes to the Mesa Engl and diezel amps...I really like the hx diezel verison. The Mesa is almost unusable. Engl is pretty ok in my opinion. My favorites are the rockerverb, diezel, and the archon lead is amazing as well.
Running the diezel, and rockerverb through real cabs in stero ...mmm.

I have the AmperoONE on my desk. Love it. But I use my PC for tweaking patches etc. and this seems a bit more tidy looking.
All those amps sounded identical to me aside from the Tangerine.
14:35 they definitely got they ugly jangly harmonic thing that the T75 has. Once you hear it, you can never go back.
