If you analyze this battle it was EVEN, both crews were exceptional when it came to: style, originality, routine. so when you have 2 crews that were both exceptional, you have to count the MISTAKES!! TIP made a HUGE mistake in minute 3:20 they jumped in at the wrong time!! I think this mistake is what cost TIP the battle. You are a professional breakdancing crew you cannot make such a mistake in the FINAL of BOTY.

They really started to put their hand on all bboying and having a Russian winner was an opportunity do develop bboying and their brand in a huge market. In Korea bboying was already very popular and Red Bull didn't have the same potential there... I am afraid it is all marketing stuff... at least that is really the only explanation I can find...

As a bboy I know now after all these years why Top 9 won the battle. You can be as technical as possible but you can't just do commandos throughout the whole battle like T.I.P, where top9 do commandos to cancel them out. When top9 send one person in they can't really respond to it then they do a routine.Besides the tick boxes and what the crowd react to you have to look at how the battle look from both sides is the battle level in straight narrow line or does one group come with something different than the other.

OK so i watched this video like 20 times, its my favorite battle ant i still think T.I.P won. well i just judged each set on a 1-10 basis and the tally comes to T.I.P 106 Top 9 86. ive watched this battle and i believe i gave it a fair score on both, no clue why this battle means so much to me or others, but i felt i had to give it a shot. for my tally if you want to keep track and judge for yourself T.I.P set number 7,10,10,10,7,9,10,9,10,8,9,7 Top 9 set number 6,10,6,4,9,9,6,7,6,8,8,7 Top 9 had more crashes that went against them and they didnt feel in sync, that does not mean they are not a great team. T.I.P yes used more team sets but they used their weakest links in those and they looked like a whole team, a complete team. also they looked like they loved the stage and the crowd was behind them (some would argue crowd, but its a show and if you do a dope move people will cheer no matter what) lastly since 2008 i have watched this battle over the years...somehow watching new ibe or boty videos but i allways come crawling back. i hope this comment keeps me away from this video lol but let me know what you think!!!!
