I can't wait either, very curious to see what Alex does with his talent. I also hope they keep it heavy, that's why TSATS got so much positive reaction.
I’m hoping to hear some more death/black metal influences on this next album. Alex’s blasting is really nice and is perfect for it.

My favorite metal band, closely followed by Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage. Every Trivium album has been a journey but I’m kind of glad they’re narrowing down their sound now. Only took them 20 years, hahaha.
I love that they keep it new and fresh with every album.

I always said that from my first listen through of TSATS that it sounded like all their best work from previous albums condensed into one. Cool to here that, that was literally the mindset they went into the studio with. Awesome interview 👏👏

Obsahovo skvelý rozhovor. Za mňa dávam perfektné skóre 5/7
Výživný pohľad na všetky albumy, ktoré vydali, zaujímavé informácie o procese tvorby a fakt pohodoví ľudia. Posledná doska ich naozaj vystrelila tam, kam už dlhšie patrili, ale ako sami povedali, nevedeli ľuďom dodať komplexný album, akým je TSATS (osobne aj napriek tomu milujem Shogun, Ascendancy a Vengeance Falls ako celky). Čo by som chcel ďalej vyzdvihnúť, tak je pripravenosť Korejka - ku každej doske stručne a trefne položená otázka... Je vidieť, že borec TriviuT žerie (na tetovačku na predlaktie to síce ešte nedotiahli ako Papa, ale možno sa dočkáme) - (ak nemáš love na ďalšie tetovania, lebo piješ veľa krabicového alebo si pozval fanúšikov na kofolu, skús patreon alebo politiku). Niektoré položené otázky výborne podsúvali/pripravili to, čo Paolo a Corey vraveli a mali na mysli + nebolo treba klásť žiadne dodatkové veci a flow im odsýpal. Fakt dobrý kus roboty. S Bentom definitívne našli člena za drumkitt aj mimo neho a pohoda je na nich vidieť.
Inak dĺžka kraťasov a póza boli zvolené zámerne, aby pribudli ženské subscrubski a sledovali, či nevykukne falus?
Doplnkové otázky:
1. Podľa čoho vyberáte, s kým budete robiť rozhovory a stalo sa niekedy, že by niekto z opýtaných nechcel rozhovor poskytnúť?
2. Neskúsili ste osloviť Slipknot, prípadne R+?
3. Ako dlho trvá pripraviť sa na interview a koľkokrát si Korejko pustil celú diskografiu?
Ja sa sem vrátim a dúfam že pre ZoDpOvEdAnÉ oTáZky!!

@@michalsantoris3656 1. Vybírám většinou podle toho, s kým točit chci (ergo koho poslouchám). Vždycky se snažím uvážit i to, kolik lidí by takové povídání potěšilo/zaujalo. Výjimečně podle toho, že si řeknu, že je to dobrý pro kanál (a tu kapelu moc neposlouchám - to je ale fakt minimum). Že by někdo vyloženě odmítl, se snad nestalo nikdy. Občas se někdo prostě neozve. 2. Rammstein vůbec ne, protože obecně dávají tak jeden rozhovor za tři roky (a honit se za duchy, na to moc času nemám). Slipknot jsme zkusili, ale trochu pozdě (hell, aspoň je furt kam stoupat). 3. Záleží podle kapely. U Trivium to bylo hned (pár hodin), protože o tý kapele vím - mluvíme-li o veřejně dostupných informacích - takřka všechno, páč je poslouchám od mala. A diskografii jedu pořád často, nehledě na rozhovor. :) Tak snad stačí takto!

Jedno z najlepších interview aké som kedy videl. Úplný opak tých nepríjemných rozhovorov kedy skupina dostáva hlúpe samozrejmé otázky. Je vidieť aj na nich že ich to baví. Super robota tieto veci by mali mať omnoho väčšie publikum aj zo zahraničia :)

Very good interview. I follow metalshop.sk for a long time, czech and slovak guys with great questions and attitude. Can't wait to see Trivium fist time ever.
You definitely have a lot to look forward to. First saw them last year, then again this june in Prague and it was hands down the best show I've ever been to. The new album is amazing live and crowds were just insane. Plus they have a great onstage chemistry, if that makes sense - you can literally feel that they are good friends, not just collegues, and that they enjoy every minute. And Matt is a perfect frontman, he engaged the publicum in a way I've never seen before. Oh, and he also prepared few lines in czech. I'd never though I'd hear an american guy talk in my language that well. XD
Shogun and Sin are straight classics
In regards to The Crusade being "half-baked," I totally disagree. I think the Crusade is a highly underrated masterpiece. The riffs are incredible and everything was played flawlessly. It's grown on me more and more since it came out.
Shogun is definitely their greatest work, but I feel like in some ways, The Crusade surpasses Shogun.

@@CLuvTravels Depends on your flavor as to which is better. Crusade was kind of all over the place and trying to find different genres throughout whereas Shogun pretty much kept the same style throughout. Personally, I think Shogun will not and cannot be topped by Trivium or any other band currently playing. To me, Shogun Trivium rivaled Metallica and Iron Maiden in their prime.
Brad Harris I think there have been plenty of albums even since Shogun’s release that have topped that album. Let alone in all of modern metal. But I agree that Trivium probably won’t top Shogun because most if not all of the songs are great songs and I don’t feel that way about the other Trivium albums.
Ignition, detonation unrepentant and And sadness will sear made me a trivium fan when that album came out

I LOVED The Crusade. I got it right when it came out, and to this day, I can jam on it from front to back. Probably my favorite Trivium record actually
Silence in the snow was an awesome album. Erbody seemed to hate it but that shit was in my cd player for like year straight and it really grew on me. I think it really showcased their ability to write simple memorable hooks and be heavy without screaming vocals. Twas underrated imho
I love Shogun and The Sin and the Sentence, but lately my fav has been Vengeance Falls 😊💕

I always hear Paulo talk bad about the crusade album but that’s the album I first discovered Trivium and has always been a fav of mine. I wish Corey would have spoken about the Crusade album. Preferably something good.
Korej sice dělá otřesně špatná 'míms', ale na zajímavé rozhovory je jednička. Vytáhnout z nich tolik informací, které nemuseli opakovat furt dokola během celého turné a ještě přitom získat záznam kde moje oblíbená metalová kapela chválí naše pivo.. no prostě bomba! Palec hore
The extended version of Shogun is the best. Those 2 originals at the end are great songs!

Idk why but it's just so funny to me :D Like for example Lars from Metallica says "obviously" or Matt Shadows from A7X says "sort of" all the time :D But those drinking games are dangerous af, me and my friends once took a shot every time James Hetfield said "you know" and we were hammered in less than two minutes :D

Matt si šetří hlas jak nejvíc může v průběhu turné. Až teď při posledním během streamu mluvil, jinak byl vždy mute a dával hlasu oddych. Ale můžeš se ho sám zeptat na twitchi :D
the crusade gets a lot of shit, I became a fan the past 3 years....I absolutely think that out of all their albums the crusade is either their second best or third best record... who gives a fuck if it sounds like 80s thrash...almost 80 percent of that album is full of hard, raw angry thrash metal that still sounds fantastic in 2020

Alex is there to stay, their dynamic has never been better.
Alex has it all, especially live, which is a big factor. He has played in bands like ARKAIK, Brain Drill etc to Battlecross and filled in for Gene in Testament.

It really is underrated. I guess it just doesn't have the WOW factor of Shogun or Ascendancy at the time. Although Forsake Not the Dream is possibly my favorite solo and great trivium moment leading into it.
The Sin and the Sentence is their best other than shogun. Bangers from top to bottom
