Just to clarify: slow twitch muscles aren't red because of more blood. The red colour isn't blood. It's just that myoglobin (red heme protein and what we call meat juice) is needed more in slow twitch mucsles for that oxygen transfer between blood vessels and muscle cells.
thanks for the info, was curious, seems its because of more use in muscle leads to more oxygen being pumped to the area, and oxygen in blood makes it redder right? so i suppose that actually makes sense!
