- Marci Gonzalez highlights local musician El Compa Negro, a Black man whose musical talents expand from those normally associated with his hometown of Compton. He uses his voice to bring the Black and Latin communities together with music.

I live in west Texas and my best friend moved to my town from Compton and I asked him is there alot of black people there he said it’s a lot of blacks and Mexicans there so I never knew that before but it makes sense being close to Mexico like we are here in Texas I was just curious because my brothers black also and he’s right we have so much in common good music and good food!!
