- in this video i will make a fancy knife out of genuine 10K gold, as we all know pure gold is a metal that has low hardness, it will not be suitable as a knife material, but in this video i use scrap gold with a content of 10K (42%) so it has a fairly good alignment for a knife but to a lesser extent than iron or steel, this video shows the whole process of making a gold knife from melting gold to becoming a fancy knife with a duration of 10 minutes, and just like my previous video i still use simple tool to make it, please support my channel by sharing this video on your social media so i can continue to work for you all, and look forward to the next interesting video about jewelry making and metal work. thank you so much.

its 10k gold, the garbage of the gold world. The only thing worse is 9k, but thankfully thats mainly for cheap drunken irishmen. If you MUST own 10k gold its far more functional as a knife than a chain

some people aren't money-bags with legs who can drop 15-30 thousand on a decently thick men's 14-22K gold chain. some people (like me) wear a chain every day and don't want to wear their 18K unless it's a special occasion. i've been asked if my 18K chain is real, yet never have I been asked if my 10K chain is real. funny that..
in terms of functionality, what do you mean? lower karat golds are more durable and still look nice - they're just a lighter yellow and have to be cleaned more. A 9K or 10K chain can be worn for a lot longer before thinning takes place, and are far more suited for daily wear. does your higher karat gold function as a gold-digger attractant? is the function to look more yellow so you can indicate your rich boy status to everyone? lol...
unless you're getting out of a BMW and are dressed in gucci, most people that walk past are thinking your jewellery is plated/filled crap.
all karats of gold are terrible at holding a knife edge. that knife is a novelty knife and is by no means a practically functional knife.
and what is your opinion on silver jewellery? is silver the septic scum of the jewellery world? pfft

No such thing as scrap gold that could have fed several families in Sri Lanka during their recent crisis, plenty of scrap steel around for knives
You could have added some alumiun lead antimony bronze and making it bigger and stronger and will remain corosion resistent
