Teensy-tiny suggestion: Maybe try equalizing the sound levels for the ads and promotions - sudden enormous boosts in volume can be very off-putting and mars an otherwise professional production.
Sander playing a little loose at times today and sometimes overly conservative. got a little conservative on many moves ( like i'd do - lol) and then goes loose on that take in the the last game with cube on four staring down the barrel of a gammon and 8 pt loss ! LOL. BUT that's the type of guy he is. throws some caution to the wind, and lets fly. carefree attitude. he's so much fun to watch ! love his great spirit ! but boy oh boy, his aptitude for recognising some plays, like the 4-1 move off the 5 pt to hit & cover. just top 0.1% analysis !! Also Mochy just so legendary. picks XG's 2 tops moves instantly. knows them every time. checks out the 2nd move first to see if he can make sense of it... then moves to the top play. just unreal. justified SUPER Grandmaster. unbeelievable analysis @
Great matches ! As it has been said, please find a better venue next year. Those world class Grand Masters deserve a better place to play this event. It looks like a random club tournament played in a corner café which is too bad.
I wonder if Mochy has been training with Hideaki... In the UBC Final 2020 hideaki would set up the inferior move first and then correctly play the optimal move.
WOW Such a prestigious event, but why does it look like the Ultimate Backgammon Championship is being played in someone's basement. The grandmasters deserve a better venue, at least provide them with some comfortable seating...folding chairs...REALLY?!!
Exactly so. Time and time again the preparation and quality of venues and match setting by organisers is third rate. I appreciate there is a vast difference to chess - but this village hall level of amateurism just damages backgammon’s reputation. (Oh - and players are offered far too much time !)
Okay JUSTIN - I guess you deserve to be complimented on the graphics for your Backgammon University promo - pretty cool!

Fun day of matches, thank you! Looking forward to the finale tomorrow!

awesome game, great commentary, thanks guys!
Excellent format👋, matches 👋and commentary👋. What more needs to be said? Tkanks and kudos to all involved😃
Beautiful game!😍
It really is!
Congrats. Great play! By far the best format of tournament
Great coverage as always. Although I must say that only having one commentator makes it slightly less special than previous versions...
As usual, Mochy and Sander taking turns being superhuman... 😄
3:12: 16 Mochy my heart aches for this move!!! Why did leave three checkers on four?

Mochy didn’t get the message to wear color coordinated pants with his checkers😎😎😎
Nothing but 7-0 matches? How normal! 😄
Bravo 👏👌🎉🧿💎🎲

In the final interview, he mentions training with Kazuki but not Hideaki ; but you’re right they do have the same move pattern 😂

I do agree on that point.

They are worst than chess players in preparing to start the metch...I lost my 10min of my life waiting for tham to roll the dice!😅
I hate the way Mochi plays. zig zag flip flop.
