I was blessed to do a Christian Heritage tour (from Massachusetts to Virginia) in 2000. While in DC, our group toured the beautiful Capitol and were at a prayer breakfast.
How Wikipedia describes David Barton: Barton's work is devoted to advancing the discredited idea that the United States was founded as an explicitly Christian nation and rejecting the notion that the United States Constitution calls for separation of church and state. Scholars of history and law have described his research as highly flawed, "pseudoscholarship" and spreading "outright falsehoods"Barton's official biography describes him as "an expert in historical and constitutional issues". Barton holds no formal credentials in history or law, and scholars dispute the accuracy and integrity of his assertions about history, accusing him of practicing misleading historical revisionism, "pseudoscholarship" and spreading "outright falsehoods". According to the New York Times, "Many professional historians dismiss Mr. Barton, whose academic degree is in Christian Education from Oral Roberts University, as a biased amateur who cherry-picks quotes from history and the Bible. Jay W. Richards, senior fellow at the Christian conservative Discovery Institute, said in 2012 that Barton's books and videos are full of "embarrassing factual errors, suspiciously selective quotes, and highly misleading claims." The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Barton's work as "anti-gay" "historical revisionism", noting that Barton has no formal training in history.] A number of writers have called Barton's work "pseudohistory".
Interesting that you challenge Barton's presentations referencing so called academics who for years have been questioning his talks from afar non have ever taken time to vistt check out his resources., by the way the men and women who pioneered in bringing life impacting endeavours were not academics and most of the devastating situations that have impact the world in the last 150yrs can be traced back to ideas entertained among the academics, the media and politicians the intellectuals the self ordained anointed to borrow from Dr Thomas Sowell
4 paintings that recapture important Christian events from the history of the United States?? All four of those events depicted have cultural and historical significance but they are not United States history. One is depicting the actions of the subject of a Christian king of Spain and the other three are the actions of the colonial subjects of a Christian king of England. The fact that subjects of Christian kings behaved like subjects of Christian kings has no bearing on the intent of the founding of the United States or its secular constitution.
I can't wait for his next "history" book. I figure it will last about a month before Glenn Beck (his only publisher) will be forced to pull it after peer review.
A serious researcher and critic will cite their information with original sources. David Barton does this extremely well. Most every one of his claims can be linked with a period document, often with multiple references. If you want to make the claim that Barton fabricates information, you need to directly cite his fabrication. And sourcing an intellectual or academic who disagrees with Barton will not be sufficient. You need to reference original sources from the period of the historic claim in question. This is how history and critical research works.
Thank you David! You're a blessing to the nation and the world!
The more I learn about our history the sadder I am how forgotten it is becoming.
Great video, we are a Christian Nation from our beginning!
Thank you for guarding Truth. Many Many Blessings to you and your family and staff
David Barton always surprises me with things I didn't know.

What a fantastic video! Thank you for your passion and courage to share the truth about the wonderful, God-fearing history of our nation!
GREAT VIDEO!
If we the people ALL knew our history like him we wouldn't be in the shape our country is in.
David Barton is a national treasure. Someday a statue needs to be erected in memory to his legacy.
I pray people will be emboldened and protect those statues. Those brave men from years ago would have. It is very sad days in America.
This is great.
Excellent Informative video. Keep it up!
I Love it!
How can anyone give this video a thumbs down. It is so nice to hear history that is not corrupted.

Church is held on the wrong day. It's meant for Saturday.
David BArton is a joke of a historian. Once you fabricate and quote mine your credibility goes out the window.
