Mariscos El Pescador food truck in old Chula, Karina's in National City, any TJ Oyster, and any other Mariscos in Chula and National City. By the way, it has to be a mexican beer batter that has a touch of mexican sour cream in it. Man, you were in the high priced areas up north. Down south is where it's at. Anything above the 8 is northern cali.

Jay Jay! Your killing me you have to throw us a line for people that live below the equator. You have to come down south of the 8 Freeway! I also would’ve included TJ Oyster bar. That south beach place is also fire.
California fish grill also has a bombass fish taco , definitely recommend it.

I love when they put in tomatoes and red cabbage on top along with the spicy white sauce (usually a mix of sour cream and mayo, plus spices).
My fav is IB Street Tacos! 💕
Check out Serrano’s in downtown (closed for remodeling) or Coronado! All their tacos are on point!
I've had oscar's fish tacos but Taco stand in La jolla has that slightly beat I think.. They are both ranked #1 and #2 on my fish taco list in SD..

As a San Diego local, I love your videos. I know you were focusing on traditional battered fish tacos but for Fish Tacos “The Fish Shop” “the smoked tuna at TJ Oyster’s bar” and the “TKO tacos at Sand Bar” are my absolute favorites.
you are on point with the smoked tuna! Thats why i didnt include TJ Oyster Bar because i see that place as the tuna taco spot!
Use to be called Smoked Marlin Taco idk if it taste the same but that was the best at Tj oyster bar

I used to be addicted to the Southbeach Bar and Grill's grilled Mahi taco. Their friend oyster tacos are also good. Actually, all of their food is good

South Beach is my go-to! I love their fish tacos, always stuffed with delicious and fresh cabbage and tomatoes. And I love that now you can choose which type of tortilla you want to have with it. It is very unique because of the duo shredded cheese on it. I honestly can never finish it, but it's so fulfilling! I also really adore getting their fried clam strips!!
They have a bigger rotating variety of fish too. When my SD friends come back into town that's where they wanna go after Robertos...and In N Out.

Hey Ken! So I have a Top 5 Taco Shops in SD vid with Tacos El Gordo in it... check it out! Also i did Carnitas Snack Shack in my "Another Lockdown" SD video as well at 5 Must Try Beers... Video hasnt done so well but it's out! haha i dont think YT likes promoting beer vids for some reason.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to SD, but a homie and I made it a mission to hit Bay Park Fish Company for fish tacos once a week! Sooo fresh! I’m guessing it’s still just as good.

Good list, Rubios was the first place I tried Fish Tacos and fell in love with them. I take out of towners to South Beach Bar and Grille for the Fish Tacos and the atmosphere. Also, pretty much any Mariscos truck south of the 8 and mostly around National City/Imperial Beach will have the best Fish and shrimp Tacos for bargain prices.

Number one contest rated fish taco (TKO Award Winner) in San Diego comes from Sandbar Sportsbar and Grill, Mission Beach. Period. Just read the ingredients: cotija-crusted flour tortilla, chipotle aioli, beer-brined escabeche slaw, lime crema, spicy guacamole, crispy onion strings, fried cilantro.
The Ahi nachos looked great. We love South Beach.

For non beer battered fish tacos, pacific beach fish shop is the best. Get the ahi tacos.

Love El Pescador Fish Market! I covered it on my La Jolla video. Calamari steak and clam chowder was amazing.
Top choice Fish Carlsbad next to Tip Top Meats. Great selection of fresh grilled fish for $1.99 each. Very generous with Fish, sauce could be better. But try it.. lots of other options.

nice! I usually do my basic fish/shrimp tacos at home with a Slaw packaged on Spicy Chipotle Garlic Aioli sauce( not spicy, but enough to want more of it) then topped with simple Pico De gallo and Guacamole...
Point Loma Seafood is the best fish and has the freshest fish taco!
Need to check out “Mariscos Beyer” food truck in San Ysidro. Best fish/shrimp tacos. Don’t forget to ask for a soup and try the sauces 👌

Pedro's in Fallbrook is an underrated spot, kinda overlooked since it is pretty out of the way but if anybody is ever in Fallbrook for any reason and you're looking for some good, fast fish tacos for a good price check them out. I'm not a fish taco guy but they have the only ones I've ever liked

I love Oscar's! The original in PB definitely the best but Hillcrest is great too. I'm sad that the downtown location closed by the ballpark.

If you want to try real fish tacos hit all of food trucks on MAIN ST. in chula Vista and at food truck at otay wrecking yards

Not San Diego but my favorite fish taco is in Las Vegas at the Venetian hotel. That little restaurant out there with the pool. I got one everyday out there.
Rubio's still does a good basic fish taco. They were kind of going down hill for a long time and were blowing out soggy fish tacos for 99 cents. But a few years ago they made an obvious effort to up their game and ditched the Taco Bell approach. Glad they did, well worth the higher prices for quality. You get what you pay for.
