I struggle with having a learning disability but it doesn’t define who I am I also have depression and anxiety I take therapy it helps me so much and I’m so happy I have it bc I known I’ve needed it for awhile and now I have it makes me feel good I’m still working on things but nobody is perfect no such thing. I also like coloring too I used to do adult coloring books I have to get back into it bc that’s also therapeutic. It was nice getting to know you more with this video. i literally thought i was the only person with emetophobia and its so much more than people make it sound. i literally never eat out and obsessivly check expiration dates on food because im paranoid about getting food poisoning. and anxiety caused me to harm myself too but i can tell you it is very possible to stop and it took me years but i promise its possible. anxiety doesn't go away easily but the scratching can. thank you for being open to sharing your story. 💗
OH MY GODDDD i cut out a whole chunk of the video about me talking about literally EXACTLY that u just said wtf. i do the SAME THINGS and i am SO paranoid about eating out and even eating at other peoples houses or eating food that other people make. it makes going to social things and even family parties so difficult because i just literally never wanna eat and feel like i’m gonna offend people by refusing food. i check the expiration dates on EVERYTIng before eating and sometimes have to check multiple times. thank u so much for telling me that because it’s so nice to know someone else has dealt with that too 😭💘 i have really been working on the scratching and i do it a lot less now so that’s good. thank you so much 😭
OKAY EATING AT OTHER PEOPLES HOUSE IS THE WORST and yeah before i eat anything i check the date a million times and i drive my mom absolutely insane because even like buying new brands of things terrifies me. and you've got this girl. its hard but possible. sometimes i have to sit on top of my hands but you've got it.
I would love to watch or listen to your podcast about anxiety. I was diagnosed with anxiety panic disorder this year. I am seeing a therapist and taking antidepressants. I have so many symptoms that sometimes it's scary to describe them because I feel like this horrible condition will come back. I've actually had this disorder for a long time, but it hasn't made itself known as vividly as it does now. There are no people in my environment with the same problem. I really want to know how other people live with it. I know I need to accept the fact that I have it somewhere inside me and always have. But I also want to see the other side of things. The biggest symptom that makes me scared is the feeling that there is no reality. You're looking at yourself as if from the outside. And everything seems clear and vivid. It's like you're dreaming. You think you're going crazy. I would love to share this with someone who has actually been through it and would share the experience.
I enjoyed getting to know you! I'm a few years older (I'm 26) but I agree about the grad school! I teach 2nd grade (I'm in my 4th year teaching) and I made sure I got a job in a county that will pay for their teachers to get a master's degree!

I’m a little older than you but when I graduated college (during Covid) I struggled to find a job for over 6 months. And it definitely gets hard hearing nos so often. But something I’ve started to model in my life after watching you has been to be more grateful and intentional with my mindset. So I definitely think you’re thinking about the experience and growth and time of your life in the right way. Everything happens for a reason so keep your head up! Something you could look into is asking to do some shadowing or look for an internship (they will sometimes turn into full time work) 🩷

OH MY GODDDD i cut out a whole chunk of the video about me talking about literally EXACTLY that u just said wtf. i do the SAME THINGS and i am SO paranoid about eating out and even eating at other peoples houses or eating food that other people make. it makes going to social things and even family parties so difficult because i just literally never wanna eat and feel like i’m gonna offend people by refusing food. i check the expiration dates on EVERYTIng before eating and sometimes have to check multiple times. thank u so much for telling me that because it’s so nice to know someone else has dealt with that too 😭💘 i have really been working on the scratching and i do it a lot less now so that’s good. thank you so much 😭

I would love to watch or listen to your podcast about anxiety. I was diagnosed with anxiety panic disorder this year. I am seeing a therapist and taking antidepressants. I have so many symptoms that sometimes it's scary to describe them because I feel like this horrible condition will come back. I've actually had this disorder for a long time, but it hasn't made itself known as vividly as it does now. There are no people in my environment with the same problem. I really want to know how other people live with it. I know I need to accept the fact that I have it somewhere inside me and always have. But I also want to see the other side of things. The biggest symptom that makes me scared is the feeling that there is no reality. You're looking at yourself as if from the outside. And everything seems clear and vivid. It's like you're dreaming. You think you're going crazy. I would love to share this with someone who has actually been through it and would share the experience.
I enjoyed getting to know you! I'm a few years older (I'm 26) but I agree about the grad school! I teach 2nd grade (I'm in my 4th year teaching) and I made sure I got a job in a county that will pay for their teachers to get a master's degree!

I’m a little older than you but when I graduated college (during Covid) I struggled to find a job for over 6 months. And it definitely gets hard hearing nos so often. But something I’ve started to model in my life after watching you has been to be more grateful and intentional with my mindset. So I definitely think you’re thinking about the experience and growth and time of your life in the right way. Everything happens for a reason so keep your head up! Something you could look into is asking to do some shadowing or look for an internship (they will sometimes turn into full time work) 🩷
